myself and my husband stayed in the lismore hotel in banbury on 29th july 2005. we had driven from huntingdon which is a 2hr drive, for our nephews wedding. when we arrived we went to reception to check in,we were told by the manager/owner that our room had no running water at all.he took it for granted that we would be happy with going into complete strangers door and use their shower! we were reluctent but said ok,he then said he would come and tell us which room it would be.(he never did) we were now running out of time, so just had to get changed and go to our wedding.after our wedding we returned to his hotel, and spent the next few hours in his bar. The next morning we were still unhappy at what had happened the previous day,we tried to seek some compensation from him,and he flatly declined and said that he had told us that room 11 was vacant for us to use(he never did) He then said that he would give us a discount and put it on our nephews bill! we had no choice but to pay our full bill, the rooms were not up to standard they were dirty and had beetles in them. i would never ever stay at a lismore hotel again.
