we had a large group of us booked into the attached Premier Inn and due to the distance from Banbury we decided to eat in whilst the food was good the service left a little to be desired when our orders were mixed up the waitress serving said we should all listen to what is being said and maybe be quiet that way the orders would be done correctly.
What ever happened to the customer is always right .This spoilt for most of us a very good weekend.

The food was overcooked and look anything but appestising. The service was, well, how can I put it, interesting. I had to ask for my napkins and knife and fork, once for my starter and again for my main course. No cognitive learning process there then......My napkin, knife and fork, salt, pepper, vinegar were all brought to the table in three seperate trips! I was asked if I needed a napkin....I was eating spare ribs with my fingers! The guy behind the bar was ok though.

Our fourth visit to this restaurant (attached to the Premier Inn Banbury) over the last 18 months. Although the restaurant was very busy, we were greeted with a welcoming smile as though we were the first customers of the day and promptly seated. Advised of the Daily Specials (listed on a blackboard at the Bar, out of sight of our table), our main courses were served within 10 minutes by a friendly waiter.
The food was attractively presented, piping hot and portion sizes were generous without leaving us feeling over-whelmed.
Good value too!

We were staying at the Premier Inn attached to the restaurant and having had a disappointed evening at another restaurant chain the night before we thought we'd try closer to home so to say. We booked a table though we really hadn't needed to and when we arrived we were quickly seated and asked if we wanted drinks but we'd already visited the bar. We were made aware of the evening specials before being given time to make our choice. You have to go to the desk to place your order which hubby did. A few minutes after hubby returned to the table our waiter came to us and explained that his choice of meal was unavailable for which he was very sorry and would he like to make another choice. The meals arrived promptly and were hot and tasty. The waiter came and asked if everything was ok and wether we needed anything. Our plates were cleared promptly and again we were asked if we wanted pudding which we did. The service was prompt and efficient and the evening an enjoyable experience in contrast to the previous evening. We would certainly eat here again if staying in the area.

Many years since we visited The Wobbly Wheel when it was awful but since being taken over by Brewers Fayre many improvements have been made, including the addition of a Premier Inn.

We went for a weekday lunch and were very familiar with the standard Brewers Fayre menu, as we were lucky enough to have a 50% off food bill voucher. We therefore didn't go for the 2 for £10 menu, but went with the main menu. The rack of ribs was incredible and the smothered chicken beautiful.

The two girls from the waiting staff were very efficient and really looked after us well, so we will be going again very soon.

We found it very relaxing and very pleasant and would strongly recommend a visit.
