We stayed overnight in this property and were very impressed. Clean and comfortable throughout with nice relaxing decor and well equipped bedrooms, the building inside and out was 'pleasant on the eye.' Staff were attentive and polite, but we found reception on the 'cooler side of warm' for our one night stay. The bed was massive and quite comfortable but I opted for average sleep quality rather than very good in the review, [it was a toss up] based on the 'double' bed being 'twins' pushed together which left a 'dip' in the middle. Also the hall and room we stayed in had just been decorated and the paint fumes [slight tacky feel to glossed area] were still lingering and quite strong. That's just unfortunate timing I know, but perhaps the rooms shouldn't have been used quite so quickly after decoration. I'm possibly being a little 'picky' but on the whole a wonderful hotel that I would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again if in the area.
You really must walk around the village to the duck pond and in the grounds of Wroxton Abbey. It's now a college but you can wander the grounds at your leisure [no charge] where you will find nice gardens and ponds to the rear of the building !
