“Just what you'd expect from a Premier Inn.”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

What I love about Premier Inns are that the layout of every single.ome of their room is the same so if you a frequent traveller like me then you feel almost at home because you are so used to it.

One thing this Premier Inn did do that others didn't is email me with local taxi number, areas of interest, directions etc. This was very helpful.

Stayed here this weekend. Check-in and desk staff were excellent, we had a slight problem the first morning when we woke to the smell of cigarette smoke. The girl on the desk was very helpful, informed us that the guests had been warned, when we returned from breakfast, the corridor still smelt but our room smelt lovely and fresh again. Informed them that our bed-side lamp was broken, and was fixed within half an hour. Excellent night sleep for all our party, not too much noise and the pub next door has a lovely atmosphere!

Stayed over Saturday night, efficient check in, room of high quality, no noise or noisy guests, 2nd stay here in the same month and no issues. Good value for money if paying around the £65 mark compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast next door overpriced suggest eat elsewhere

Stayed this weekend. Had our little son with us. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was spotless. Ate in the Beefeater next door for evening meal, and for breakfast. Again, staff in the pub were fantastic, and the food lovely too. Staying at premier inn @ York next month, and hope it will be as good as this one. Cheers guys.

We arrived around 11.30pm after driving back from the O2 and received a very cheerful welcome from the receptionist. Very easy parking. Room was up to the usual high standards and very clean. Breakfast next morning was again as expected - good quality food and efficient service. Would recommend highly and would definitely stay again.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel in July this year (2012). When we arrived the receptionist asked if we would like a ground floor room as my friend uses a cane, we were very impressed, there are few receptionists that would have done that! The room was clean, tidy and adequate, no frills but good value for money. If we are in the area another time we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I would certainly recommend them.

The only thing I can comment negatively about this hotel was the lack of (in our room) the separate sofa-bed. We could have complained of course, but to be honest after a 12 hour drive/ferry journey it just wasn't worth doing - we were only there for one night so did not make that much of a difference.

Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant/bar was as usual up to the standards we have come to expect from Premier Inns, with the usual choice of Continental or cooked English breakfasts. This time we chose the Continental and was pleasantly surprised to find 'Crumpets' available (love them and can't get them where we live), so my breakfast was a delight.

Though I think that we surprised the reception staff in the morning when we said hello to them, they seemed quite taken aback by customers being friendly to them!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have less passing foot traffic.
