Great place for a family day out, visited on May bank holiday and although it was busy, there were people directing you where to park, which prevented any issues. No problem finding a spot to spend the day either. Great free play facilities for kids and there were bouncy castles laid on. If you want to get back to free fun family days spent together, then i recommend you go here.

We went to Wat Tyler on Easter Bank Holiday Monday. It was cold but bright and there were plenty of families enjoying the fresh air. Bouncy castles and a bucking bronco had been laid on for the children. We ate upstairs in the visitors centre are were impressed by the quality and value for money of the food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We also spent some time in the RSPB Centre, drinking tea and discussing the birds visiting the bird tables outside. There were activities for children as well, such as decorating eggs and making nests! We were there taking wildlife photos and could also have used the various hides on site as well. Plenty of parking and space to have a good walk around in.

I visited here with a young relative. The free outdoor play areas are excellent and as it was very cold we had the place almost to ourselves. I have been here in the summer and while it does get busy we have always found a place to park and somewhere to sit.

We often take our dogs here for a change from the usual routine, there is a fair bit of mud and water about though so take some towels for afterwards. Like everywhere in essex right now you'll need you'll wells too!
