Not sure why this hotel's had such a series of bad reviews.....we've just stayed here for three nights and had no real problems. We were visiting various places around the local area and just needed a base.
It's a motel style really, chalets and balconies, but no less useful for that.
Good points.....great staff (Sandra was very friendly & helpful, as was the breakfast lady), great breakfast selection, very comfy bed, nice & warm, very clean, room turned & replenished daily, free wi-fi, decaff coffee in the tea / coffee pot, loads of free parking.
Bad points.....only one easily accessible power socket (the other was hidden under a desk), no lights in the car park.
The cell-block grey trim inside's a bit of a strange choice too, but it's just cosmetic, my wife suggests a nice blue!!!
The breakfast was about £6 for unlimited cereal, toast, cheese, jams, fruit, muesli, bread, pain-au-chocolat (only the ham looked a bit rough!) but for an extra £3 you got a full English on top, nicely and freshly cooked, couldn't fault it. Would be nice if they threw this in with the room price, even if they added a fiver on. It would feel more of a package.
If you want a simple, comfortable base, somewhere to sleep and keep your cases, it'll do the job nicely!More
