“Spacious, comfortable flat within easy reach of centre of Buxton”
Reviewed July 25, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable and well presented flat. The rooms were airy and bright and well appointed.

“Excellent base for stay in Buxton”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Excellent location. Off street parking, Spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable accommodation over two upper floors. Plus large entrance hallway for coats, shoes, brollies etc. Apartment was well equipped, and pleasantly furnished and decorated. We had everything we could need, and would recommend for both short and long visits. Once we had parked car we could walk everywhere we needed in Buxton - Opera House, shops, restaurants etc. We would book again when visiting Buxton.

“Beautifully clean & well equipped, close to all amenities”
Reviewed July 8, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed with our son & daughter-in-law and 9 month old granddaughter. The property was spotlessly clean, well equipped and ideally situated for restaurants, takeaways and local pubs. Even though our stay was only 3 nights we thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return next year.

“Ideal for our party”
Reviewed June 7, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We normally go away somewhere with our son, his wife and our 2 grandchildren during the May half term and this year we decided to go to the Peak District. We were looking for a large apartment with 3 bedrooms and good facilities. Temple Mews was ideal. It had everything we needed plus many additional picnic items we would have used had the weather been a bit warmer.
We had bikes and they fitted nicely in the large hallway downstairs and there was room for coats and boots as well.
The kitchen and lounge on the first floor were well fitted out and the next floor had 3 large bedrooms - one with an ensuite and a large bathroom.
The position was fine at the high end of Buxton but the shops, pubs and restaurants were only minutes away and the park was a 5 minute saunter.
All in all a nice apartment in a decent position in a really nice town.

“Everything thought of and definately gives the 'WOW' factor !!!”
Reviewed May 15, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The red door made this property easy to spot and the off road parking a definite plus as the street was quite full during our stay. The property is right in one of the best areas close to the delightful pavilion gardens where there is a playground for children and quieter areas where you can sit and feed the ducks and yet only a two minute stroll from the property in the other direction and you are in the marketplace of Buxton where you will find some nightlife and restaurants to cater for all tastes if you don't fancy cooking for yourself.
The kitchen has a dishwasher so you don't waste your precious holiday washing pots and a washing machine in case you run out of clothes.... the extra touches such as a flask ,sandwich boxes, sewing kit, hair dryer, iron, soaps tea and coffee all meant you never wanted for anything even board games and a wii to entertain the kids and a welcome folder telling you about the area , takeaway menus, phone numbers etc ...
We went to solomons temple which is only a short walk to the base of the hill where go ape and pooles cavern are situated and then a incline of varying difficulties through woodland and once at the temple you were able to enter it and climb the steps to the top where the view of buxton is 'Amazing' !
The showers when we got back were easy to use and enjoyable and we all slept soundly on the very comfortable beds .....

We really enjoyed our stay here and couldn't fault anything at all everything had been finished in a high spec and was extremely comfortable and I would recommend this to anyone !

“All you could want for a weekend in the Peak District”
Reviewed April 28, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed over easter weekend. Myself My partner, my best friend, her husband and their 6 and 8 year olds.
We arrived mid afternoon on Good Friday after having spent the morning in Bakewell. There is one parking space on the drive and room for another car either on the road in front or to the side of the property.
Upon entering you are greeted by a large entrance hall with a bench to take off your shoes and lots of hanging space for coats. There was enough space to leave bikes if you had wanted to. The living accomodation is on the first floor and consists of a large kitchen with a table that seats 6 easily. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. Including tea, coffee ketchup salt pepper etc.
It was lovely to also find 2 large gold Lindt Bunnies waiting for us! There was also a fresh pint of milk in the fridge, ample toilet rolls and kitchen roll and all the things you might need really.
The lounge has a TV DVD player lots of maps and guide books for the local area and various games and things for the kids.
There are 3 bedrooms one double with an en-suite with shower and a twin and double that share the master bathroom with a lovely stand alone bath.
The entire apartment is very well furnished and you can tell the owners have spent lots of money keeping it just so.

As far as days out go, you are within walking distance of both upper and lower Buxton. At the bottom of the road are the pavilion gardens which are beautiful and have 2 playgrounds for younger and older kids. There is a lake and a coffee shop nearby. Also within walking distance is pooles cavern which is a great way to while away a rainy hour if ther weather isn't so great.
Be sure to take your empty bottles and fill them from the fountain in the centre of Buxton. Buxton mineral water flows 24/7 still warm out of the ground completely free! The kids loved it.
On our last day we walked the Monsal trail which is a disused railway and great for cycling or walking for all the family. We parked for free by the river just before the viaduct and walked up the hill to join the trail. Highly recommended.
My friend and her family live in the north-east and we live in Southampton, we frequently meet in the midlands, this is our new favourite place and we shall definitely be staying again.

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed April 11, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

even better than expected. I have high expectations and sometimes descriptions don't always match reality, however, Temple News proved an exception. Lovely decor, large rooms, well equipped kitchen and convenient location. Hope to use in the future.
