We stayed in a party of four and found this property to be ideal. We felt welcome from the moment we booked, the owner is very approachable and nothing is too much trouble.
The location is ideal, 5 minutes walk to shops, pubs and restaurants, yet set in a quiet street. Parking is on road and we never had trouble finding a space for either car.
The accommodation works well for two couples, it has been renovated to a high standard and is extremely comfortable throughout. The property is also well equipped with lots of extra thoughtful touches, DVDs ,books, games, and a welcome pack with homemade bread and cookies.
One of the nicest properties we have ever rented and we hope to return. Highly recommended by all of us.
Buxton is also well placed for Peak District exploration and activities.
This is a lovely clean comfortable house in a quiet area of Buxton. Centrally located for upper and lower Buxton. We found it easy to find parking on the street. Outside patio area is great to sit and relax in, preferably with a nice glass of something! All in all perfect for a few days away. Would highly recommend.
This is a little gem of a property if you like being in the center of town but not in the high street. There are plenty of places to eat and drink with-in 5 minutes walk, the park is even closer ! Pete is very easy to contact and has lots of local information if you need it.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Servant’s Quarters , Buxton. It’s a three storey house with a well equipped kitchen and pleasant living room on the ground floor including a useful Smart TV. On the days where we had better weather it was nice to sit outside in the suntrap courtyard garden . The first floor has a good sized bedroom which had been configured as a very large comfortable queen sized bed (can be set up as twins) and separate bathroom. On the second floor there is another double bedroom with en-suite and a separate sitting/dressing space (which our 21 son adopted!). All in all very comfortable
From the house you are a short walk from the Buxton main market place. Buxton is a town of two levels though with the market place at the top of a hill and Buxton baths, opera house, train station etc at the bottom.
We took rather shine to Buxton managing to find some great restaurants as well as a great coffee/cake place Cafe GP and we enjoyed Gilberts. We also happened to be there at the correct time to enjoy the Tissington Well dressing and a tour around the hall.
I don't get round to writing reviews very often but the Servants Quarters warrants some extra effort! We have just returned from a wonderful break in Buxton and the cottage was the perfect place to stay. Plenty of space for the three of us (we have a nearly 2 year old), well-equipped, great welcome pack, cosy, very comfortable bed, spotless, but still retaining the character of the cottage. The Pavilion Gardens are just a couple of minutes walk away with a great park and a cafe with play area (helpful as the weather was very wet!). Shops just round the corner, and plenty of things to do within a 30-minute (or less) drive. We especially loved the ice cream at Blaze Farm... We hope to return soon, and would recommend the cottage without hesitation. Thank you.
The Servants' Quarters nestles among elegant stone villas very close to a delightful park that stretches all the way to the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens. Nearby is Poole's Cave which is well worth a visit to get an insight into the geology of the Peaks, and Buxton itself is at the heart of beautiful walking country. We appreciated that there was really good information in the accommodation about the surrounding area and the walking possibilities. The house itself was well equipped, spotless and maintained to a very high standard. The owners were attentive and helpful without being intrusive and the welcome pack, including a home-made loaf, went down a treat. We had a great time.
