Me and my hubby visited Buxton in September 2013 and we have to say what a lovely town it is.
I don't usually write reviews on places but I saw in the window of this cafe they are listed on here and I HAD to share my excellent experience. On our last day in Buxton we decided to eat out for dinner before heading home, and this cafe was very inviting. After being greeted by a friendly waitress we decided on the home-made pies, yum yum!! We paid around £15.00 and it was definitely money well spent. After reading the reviews on here I have to say that some people will never be happy, we had pies and we found the portion sizes more than enough! I was however very tempted by the carrot cake on display!
The waitress was very helpful and whoever trained this young lady needs a big pat on the back. Not many waitresses wish you a safe journey home!
Thank you, STARS, we very much enjoyed our visit to your cafe and have already recommended to mother and father in-law as they are heading up to buxton next month.
Also, we very much enjoyed your wall pictures - especially the Marilyn Monroe!
