“Interesting but short”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Very interesting but very cold and wet. The experience was a lot shorter than expected. We found it a little bit difficult to hear the guide as we were at the back of the group.Something to fill in an hour whilst in the lovely town of Buxton.

“Interesting”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

Dan our tour guide, made Poole's Cavern a fun and interesting learning experience. The food was of good quality and good value for money.
I would say half a day would be plenty to see and do everything here, although we didnt visit 'Go Ape' so maybe with this in mind, a whole day maybe required. However, we did leave the car in the car park and took the short walk into Buxton itself, had a look around and a then took a slow walk back through the Pavillion Gardens and back to the car.
In short, well worth a visit.

“OK, shorter than I expected”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Arrived and advised when the next was going, your are not allowed in the caves without a tour guide.

We stopped and hand some soup and a childrens hot dog for the cafe. The soup was lovely, if a bit overpriced and the childrens hot dog looked a bit sorry for it's self.

The tour guide was very nice and did know a thing or two about geology which makes a change from some places you go which are scripted and memorised. Glad we went, ticket lasts for a year if you do giftaid although I don't think we would go back as we have been there now.

Kept us amused for just over an hour, was about £26 for two adults and a child which is not cheap for an hour.
