“A Staffordshire Treat”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

The Tea Junction at Hulme End is the ideal starting point for anyone using the Manifold Valley track for a cycling or walking trip.

The Tea Junction specialises in home cooked food, with regularly updated specials, and specialty dishes such as filled Staffordshire oatcakes, soup and a constantly changing array of cakes.

The staff are very friendly. Rebecca has run the tea rooms for three years and it is particularly heartwarming to see a trained chef running a place like this on such simple and traditional lines.

It is also worth noting that Hulme End has a well stocked village shop and The Manifold Inn is also worth a visit (despite changing its name from The Light Railway!)

Ps the tearoom is in Staffordshire, not Derbyshire as the postal address misleadingly implies!

“Fantastic tearoom, amazing service, lovely home-made food!”
Reviewed March 14, 2012

This is one of our favourite post-walk and post bike-ride spots. The tea junction tearoom is situated in the refurbished engine shed next to the former Hulme end station which houses the visitor centre.
There is a lovely selection of soups, hearty bites and of course fantastic cakes. Everything is home-made and served by an always friendly and smiling Rebecca.
The location may not be immediately obvious, but once you've found it, you will be coming back more!
Highly recommended!
