As we had not booked but arrived at 9pm on a Saturday night we were looked after very well.
We had a slight wait but were shown to our table within 5 minutes by a very attentive waiter.
The food was delivered piping hot and full of flavour.
After dinner Khan the manager came over to ask our opinion and showed genuine interest in what we had to say.
We will certainly go again on our next visit to Buxton

I am a lover of curry and have tried and tasted curries in a lot of UK cities and this was one of the best I have had in a long time.
We got a take away on a recent holiday-we drove there and ordered in the restaurant. We did not have to wait too long.
The food was delicious-the onion bhajis were unusual-flat and very red rather than the usual ball shape.
I ordered a lamb tikka sambha and it was amazing, my husband ordered a prawn curry (cant remember what) and his was really nice too.

We were recommended this place as excellent. Good service but average food. Would probably not go again.

After using the Taj for a few take aways in the last couple of weeks we ate in on saturday evening, to find as we thought that the food is even better when eaten in, we we're well looked after with one of the best pathiers I have ever had. Didn't wait to long for the food and yet we didn't feel rushed either. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE TAJ we will see you soon

We vistited this reastaurant during a weekend stay in Buxton. I booked 3 weeks before we went and rang a few day before we went to check the time but they had not got us booked in but never mind they did book us in then so GOOD job I rang to confirm. The restaurant looks realy nice when you walk in we sat down at 7.20 had our popadoms and ordered our food then we sat and waited and waited and waited a full Hour and 10 mins then the food came after we had asked twice but 2 of the meals were wrong so we had to wait again for the two to be changed so our other 2 were going cold we ordered chips and never got them. there was a constant trail of people comming in for Take Aways which they seemed to pay more attention to as the bags of take aways kept on comming out of the kitchen but we still sat waiting. It is not very nice when you go out for a meal and you are crowded by people waiting for a take away so if you go dont let them sit you by the window and also they have the beer fridge there and every 2 mins they are opening the fridge right the side of your table which is quite annoying. They did appologise for the wait when we were paying our bill and offered us a 20% discount next time but I said we were only visiting but they offered nothing else. OHHH and the chips were on the bill although we never received them. Having said all that the food is nice but nothing special If you want a good indian come to Lye in the Black Country your spoilt for choice and they are GOOD
