I felt I had to write as it was due to the reviews on tripadvisor that I ended up going to the Knights Table. Im from London and was in Buxton just for the weekend, did a quick trip advisor search for places to eat and going the Knights Table is probably the best advice ive had from Trip Advisor. The pub is cosy and warm, the food was amazing, all of it, no question the best roast ive ever had, there was two of us and we had 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 deserts, and 2 alcoholic drinks, all for £25.50!!!! Im just gutted this place isnt in my home town, I would be there every Sunday!!!

Stopped off here on a very cold day, with the snow blowing outside and the real log fires blazing away inside the pub, this is a very welcoming place to while away a few hours. The Sunday lunch was really excellent - one of the best we have had anywhere. The owners and staff are pleasant and friendly. Value for money is pretty good too, everything is very fresh, tasty and well cooked. £9.95p for two courses is not bad ! The inside is very clean and tastefully decorated / furnished and the toilets were especially clean and well cared for. Overall a very enjoyable visit and we will be back soon.

We went for a family meal for our niece's 21st. Both the host and hostess are friendly people and you could tell by the thoughtful little touches that they had done their best to make this a special occasion. The pub is tastefully decorated to give a medieval feel and the food was well cooked and tasty. As a group we had a variety of dishes, salmon, gammon, steak, lamb, etc. All accompanied with freshly cooked vegetables and served with large chunky chips for those who wanted them. Well worth making the short trip out of Buxton. The log fire and medieval setting was excellent for adults and children even down to the smallest details of medieval knights of old books.

We had visited over the Christmas period so we knew that this was a good place for a meal, so we decided to book it for a family meal for our daughter's 21st.

Both the host and hostess are friendly people and you could tell by the thoughtful little touches that they had done their best to make this a special occasion.

The pub is tastefully decorated to give a medieval feel and the food was, as it has been on other occasions we have visited, well cooked and tasty.

As a group we had a variety of dishes, salmon, gammon, steak, lamb, etc. All accompanied with freshly cooked vegetables and served with large chunky chips for those who wanted them.

Well worth making the short trip out of Buxton.

Don't know what people are moaning about had a lovely reasonable meal here, staff very friendly and had no complaints.
The chicken and mushroom pie was lovely and my boyfriend had the mixed grill which he said was lovely. We did go midweek so wasn't as busy. Thoroughly recommend
