Like other reviews, we were warmly welcome by the host and were given some homemade cakes on arrival. The rooms are clean and lovely. We love the breakfast so much too! Breakfast was so big that we couldn't eat for the rest of the day!

I think it deserves a chinese comment:
我對於住B&B的經驗不多, 所以在訂房前都是靠看Tripadvisor的comments,Knotlow farm雖然暫時排位不是很高, 但看到comments就知道之前的人都很喜歡這個地方, 而且知道主人家非常好客。早餐份量十分大, 很好吃, 吃完之後連午餐也不想食了。我們真的很喜歡這個地方, 我們一定還會再回來!

Room Tip: There are 3 B&B rooms, even though one says two single beds but they can put the beds together t...

After a long days walk we were welcomed with tea @ home made muffins. No pub in the village but a lift to the nearest pub and back was very welcome. (Too far to walk). Accommodation excellent as was the breakfast, the best porridge I have ever tasted. This is an ideal stop for walkers on the Limestone Way as the route runs right through the complex.
More expensive than we normally expect to pay but ypou get what you pay for

This was a clean site and we loved the fact we could hire a fire basket to sit round at night.
The showers and toilet block was clean and tidy but you do need a stock of 20ps if you want to shower. 20p = 2 mins in the shower. This isnt enough time.
The nights we stayed there was a party in the barn and ebveryone was invited to join in with free food offered, this was a lovely tough and we had a great time on the bucking bronco.
Owners are friendly and would come again.
One night we struggled to sleep as there was a festival in a nearby field that went on until the early hours but that wasn't Knotlows fault.
Would be even better if there was a dedicated play and climbing area for the kiddies.

Me and a group of friends have just come back from a great weekend camping at Knotlow. We had the campsite (as there a good few), with the electric hook ups, as the girls in the group like to pamper them selves! Bahh, go on then, we also need electric for the boys fridges..... There's only 5 electric hook ups, so be sure to book early!! A great thing about this campsite, is that it allow fire baskets, which you can hire, if you don't have your own. They also sell wood and kindling, should you run out.

Theres a lovely little walk (about a mile) along the limestone way, which took us into Monyash village, which is very popular with walkers, due to it being on the doorstep to picturesque Lathkill Dale. I've walked this dale many times, and would recommend it to anyone! Monyash, has a very nice pub called The Bulls Head, which has a very good selection of real ales and a bar menu. It also has a very nice resturant, but be sure to book well in advance as it gets booked up!

One thing that would make Knotlow Farm unbeatable, is a little shop that campers and the like could buy some basics, as the nearest shop is probably Bakewell or Buxton. Both are worth a visit, but a shop on site would be an excellent addition!

Although we are pretty much local to Knotlow, we are already planning our next trip next year!!

Room Tip: We didn't stay B&B, but from what I could see, I don't think you would go far wrong with...

We booked this B & B for our honeymoon as a perfect base to explore the Peak District. Greeted with a hot drink and cake on our arrival by the friendly Margaret, our stay proved how hospitable they are here. In our room we had a bottle of cava and a box of chocolates alongside some other goodies. We loved the home-baked goodies left in our room too - thank goodness we were cycling a lot! We went cycling on one occasion and came back muddy and wet. We used their hosepipe to clean our bikes and Margaret very kindly washed our clothes for us.

Breakfasts were lovely - lots of fresh fruit, cereals, toast, delicious home-cooked breakfast etc. Comfy bed, lovely shower room, parking directly outside, plenty of wildlife, walks and pubs (The Bulls Head is fantastic but book first!) - everything you could want to make the stay great. The only reason I put the sleep quality as average is that I found the room too hot to sleep in - so very different from what I am used to. The bed was very comfortable with lots of squishy cushions.

When it came to leaving it was like we were leaving family - it was sad to leave and I think we will be back (maybe give camping here a try - that seemed very popular!). Or just stay in the cosy B & B!

Room Tip: We faced the car park to the back and had the lovely Ash suite with views of the fields/trees.

We stayed here for 2 nights, room was fantastic, and the welcome you get when you arrive (home made cake and a cup of tea ) is just what you need after a long drive .Knotlow farm is situated in the middle of the peak district in between Bakewell and Buxton,so if your looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you.The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you would expect(including fresh milk in your fridge).Margaret is a wonderful host and cooks one of the best breakfast's I have eaten, all in all a fantastic stay at a beautiful b&b.WILL DEFINITLEY BE BACK!
