“Just what we needed”
Reviewed November 17, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Good quiet location, off road parking is a bonus. 5 minutes easy walk to the Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, Shops, Restaurants and bars. Welcoming and helpful giving us usefull information and directions to the above. Very clean throughout. Has everything you need in the room. Hairdryer, toiletries and bathrobes. A good seletion of beverages. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional. I would reccommend anyone wanting to experience a night at the theatre and surrounding area would be hard pressed to find anywhere better than this for value for money.

“Superb !”
Reviewed November 9, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

If you are looking for a quality B&B in Buxton you probably need look no further. Outstanding value for money given the simply enormous breakfast which includes high quality cereals and jams and plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurt. On the cooked side, my only complaint would be that given the quality elsewhere Claire should serve better sausages. Certainly quantity is not an issue and it is very easy to pig out at breakfast.
The whole house is well decorated and uncluttered with a modern feel and, other than the stairs (to be updated shortly), wooden flooring throughout. The en-suite was very compact but functional and there were lovely touches everywhere, such as Bendick's and Elizabeth Shaw mints, a fine selection of beverages cotton wool buds and pads, and most unusually soft, fresh towel bath robes. I did find the mattress a little tired, but still enjoyed a reasonable night's sleep.
The location is perfect for everything Buxton has to offer and a short 5 minute walk has you in the middle of town. Certainly recommended

“Wonderful holiday”
Reviewed October 31, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had a wonderful stay at Stoneridge with our two children and Claire could not have done more to make our holiday in Derbyshire more special. She was full of useful knowledge of the area and ideas of things to do and her breakfasts were just delicious - just what you need to set you up for a day in the Dales!

my wife and i went to see the hollies at the opera house we had the tickets 2 months ago.
we decided to stop over for the night [save driving back later] we chose the stoneridge because of the reviews on here,it did not let us down we would recommend this place to every one, every thing is a 5 Min walk, opera house/pavilion gardens ect Claire could not do enough for you,
the breakfast is unbelievable and the full English is huge the cereals and fruit variations are outstanding, we will be returning but stopping at least 2 nights this is a 5 star place.

“Excellent value for money.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

One could find fault, but one would have to be extremely picky and downright unreasonable (for example a few tiny blemishes in the bathroom, which whilst small. it is clean, newly fitted out and has everything one needs).

The house is very comfortable and quiet, with décor being a modern take on a classic theme. Breakfast was excellent. The room was peaceful, clean and spacious enough.

Certainly one of the better bed and breakfasts I have stayed in and deserving of its awards.

For the money, I think one would find it hard to better. We would definitely return and have recommended to family who do use Buxton as a base for activities in the Peak District.

“Excellent Guest House”
Reviewed October 3, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Stayed for one night last weekend as my partner was running in Macclesfield.

Clare was very helpful and volunteered an early breakfast without prompting (which was amazing) and gave lots of local advice on where to eat.
The room itself was lovely and sparkling clean and as others have found, nice touches around toileteries and loads of towels.

Would certainly stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great Guest House in lovely Buxton

“lovely guest house”
Reviewed May 28, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We booked this B&B to attend a wedding at The Devonshire Dome, which was yards from this pretty Victorian guesthouse in a nice, quiet street. The room was lovely, well decorated, clean, comfortable, modern, yet full of character and well appointed with a tea and coffee tray and toiletries. It was the little extras in the room that I particularly liked such as several choices of tea, biscuits, and more than the usual toiletries of good quality. The owner made us feel very welcome, and was very accommodating, giving us an extra set of keys when we requested them, offering to leave us fresh milk early in the morning for our toddler and providing us with a highchair. We would definitely recommend this characterful yet modern B&B to anyone staying with young children, and if we were ever in the area again, we would book this place without looking elsewhere.
