This is just one of those places you have to see for this amazing view and the christ statue is quite remarkable too. Looks like some lovely walking and bike routes too of which we didn't take advantage. Just to sit and enjoy the view is more than enough

Map shows locations of Car Parks to climb Galtymore or walk to Lakes Muskry and Curra.
Galtymore is the highest inland mountain with great views on a clear day.

Beautiful serene and vast valley view! Would have loved to spend more time but on a tour. Short stop was not enough. Would have liked to hike the hills

Park at the giant sculpture and you not only have nice views, but picnic spots and entrances to several trails. We walked around a bit, returned, and then took our 4 year old on the "Fairy Trail" off to the right.

"The Glen", as the locals simply call it, stretches from Bansha in the East to Galbally in the West, between the Galtee mountains in the South and Slievenamuck, the Pigs Mountains in the North. It offers stunning views, beautiful walk ways and loads of hidden gems - all best discovered by talking to the locals in the small villages and settlements along the way, asking them for advice where to go and what to discover. This is Tipperary as you haven't seen it before. Go for it! You won't regret it!

Stunning view of the Galtees, very peaceful place. It has a statue of the Lord looking down which is very lovely even if you are not religious it feels a peaceful place to stop for a while. Picnic benches available

Just returned from this lovely part of Ireland after a weekend wedding. The hotel staff were lovely& welcoming & most effecient. The hotel itself is in a wonderful location but dated & worn looking. The bathroom was clean but well used, nice fluffy towels but shower was poor.Food was OK, some staff were nice but some of the younger staff seem to be in a rush.I might like to visit again mid week when it should be quieter& sit& enjoy the wonderful location
