“Peace and Tranquility Abound!”

When Norm and I saw this cottage on line, we thought we had found the perfect spot to spend a week. When we actually arrived at the cottage, we found just a wee bit of heaven!
The cottage is located down a beautiful lane--but very convenient to everything we wanted to see in the south of Ireland. The furnishings are lovely, and the beds are oh so comfy!
The kitchen is perfectly outfitted; the washer and dryer work just fine.
Stella and Eammon were very gracious and gave us excellent information including a couple of must dos: traditional music at Wickham House in Tipperary on Tuesday and Newgrange. Both added so much to our trip!
We would have loved to just spend time at the cottage--reading, relaxing, walking, visiting the cows who came to visit us, hiking in the woods. Next time!
You will simply love Coopers Cottage!

A relaxing, homely and warm cottage with picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. A wonderful self contained base for exploring Southern Ireland. It contained all we needed to make our holiday in Ireland memorable.

We stayed in Cooper's Cottage for a week during the Easter Holidays. We are a family with four children so we stay in self-catering accomodation quite a lot, and I can say that it was probably the nicest place we ever stayed in. The cottage is beautifully decorated but very practical, and you can feel yourself relaxing within 5 minutes of arrival. The owners, Stella and Eamon, were very welcoming and helpful. If you like to get out and about there were loads of interesting places within a short driving distance, but if you just want to relax I can't think of a better place. We will definitely go back, hopefully many times. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights after staying in Dublin en Kenmare first part of our fortnight holiday stay in Ireland. A very nice cottage with wonderful views on the galtee mountains and with a lot of privacy. A very quiet and relaxing place and close to the sights of tipperary, like Cashel and the Glen of Aherlow. Ideal for cycling or walking, we did a loopwalk nearby, our host Eamonn provided some maps and he and his wife Stella who live in the new Rathellenhouse B&B on the other side of the road are very friendly en gave us tips where to go.
The house is nicely decorated with excellent boxspring beds. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a nice terrace and garden. We had breakfast in the rathellenhouse one morning and it was lovely with home made scrambled eggs, bacon & sausages, and lovely scones. We really enjoyed our stay here, it's much better than staying in a hotel and good value. You really live in the countryside here.

We recently returned from a wonderful 12 nights in Ireland. We did a southern loop round trip from Shannon. We had the pleasure of staying our last 5 nights at Coopers Cottage. When we arrived, we were coming from Killarney, so we visited Blarney Castle on the way. The cottage is in a wonderful setting with great views. It was convenient to Cahir (10 minutes away), is adjacent to the Golden Vale, Cashel and Tipperary town. We took a day trip through the “Vee” to Cobh and returned on the new section of the N8.

The cottage itself was a good size for the 6 of us traveling together. The kitchen was very well equipped with anything you would need to prepare gourmet meals. One of the things we really enjoyed was the on-demand water heaters in the showers, no waiting for hot water. The homemade scones, jam, butter and milk we found there upon arrival was a very nice touch. We enjoyed having a peat fire in the fireplace on a couple of nights (peat furnished). There was also a good selection of books and guidebooks for anyone who needs them. The view from sitting on the porch across the fields to the Galtee Mountains was beautiful. Stella and Eamonn were wonderful hosts, answering any questions we had and making suggestions as to where to dine or visit. They were just across the road at the Rathellen House B&B, where they live. We had the pleasure of joining them one morning for breakfast which Eamonn prepared and it was wonderful. Stella dropped by a couple of times and we really enjoyed her visits and talking with her. In our travels we have found one of the most memorable parts of our trip is interacting with the people we meet. I will always think of Stella and Eamonn when I make the scones they gave us the recipe for. My daughter really enjoyed the walk she took with them in the mountains.

The only small thing which would have made our stay any better would have been having wi-fi or internet connection at the cottage since I was posting to a blog while on vacation. We were invited to their house to use the internet, which we did one night, but with the size of the postings I was doing and the pictures I was uploading, I would have rather done it at the cottage.
