Owner description: Wyndcliffe Court Gardens are Grade II listed and designed in the Arts and Crafts style. Designed by H. Avray Tipping, friend of Gertrude Jekyll and Editor of Country Life magazine, they were completed in 1922 and are probably the best example of their type in Wales. With sculpted topiary, a sunken garden, a summerhouse, walled gardens, fountains, lily ponds and a bowling lawn leading on to wooded walks, they are a national treasure not to be missed. Now open to the public on a regular basis, they are showcasing contemporary sculptures by local and well-known British artists. The collection features hundreds of sculptures in a wide variety of mediums, sizes and styles situated throughout the garden and offering the opportunity to view and purchase beautiful sculpture with an outstanding backdrop.Open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from 11am - 6pm. (Also opening Wednesday to Sunday in July and August) Annual entrance to the gardens is £6 (pay once and return the rest of the year for free!) Discounts for pre-booked group visits and coach companies.

This is a lovely place to visit, the gardens have a series of ''rooms'' all very different and interesting. The sculptures which can be bought are all of many different mediums and styles.
The teas and wonderful cake served on the terrace with the outstanding views make it extra special. Well worth the trip

Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and BH. Spring show finishes 16th June. Summer show 21st June to 11th August. Autumn show 16th August to 29th September.
Narrow lane approaches but we made it in our motorhome, overflow car park in field for cars.
We had tea/ coffee and cake on the terrace. Plant sales. Show guide and map for sale @ £3.50. Beautiful sculptures well displayed in the different areas of the gardens. Toilets.

Although we have lived for seven years only a few miles away, until the last Bank Holiday we had never before visited Wyndcliffe. It is a real hidden gem, glorious gardens, magnificent displays of sculpture and wonderful views of the Severn. Even on holiday Monday it was not very crowded. It is a bit off the beaten track so suggest you follow the directions on their website, not rely completely on a Satnav.
Well worth a visit we shall be back as they change the sculptures every three months.

We thoroughly enjoyed our bank holiday jaunt around the gardens, admiring them and the lovely sculptures. Good brochures were available with information on the artists and their works. We were hoping to see some larger pieces on display and also some in an affordable price range for gifts; it was highly refreshing to view quality artwork.

The food menu was definitely appealing however all the seating arrangements were full, so sadly we left without having the mushroom soup and afternoon tea! Worth a two hour visit if eating, otherwise an hour would suffice.
