Got quite excited when i heard that a 'proper' wine bar had opened down by the River. Went with a client and ordered a couple of glasses of Chablis - black stare. "Sorry, don't have any by the glass" Hum,, ok, any white Burgundies, - 'nope".

Asked to see the wine list and I can honestly say the one in my local Indian is better - shame, bit of a missed opportunity, perhaps if anyone reads this they might like to visit a proper wine bar and take a few hints, if not I cant see this place being here in 18 months, which would be a shame.

Recently taken over by a local pub family. Slightly wide of the mark on delivery but trying hard and frankly it's as good as it gets in Chepstow!

I this place works (tweaks to the lighting and sound system would be advisable!) then this place could be a little treasure

Arrived for a meal on a Friday night and from the word go this place was shocking!

The bar tender, who later turned out to be the waiter and chef, was beyond rude. He made us feel like we were causing him great hassle. There was no rose wine, Tia Maria or cider in stock in the bar!

There was only one other group in the restaurant yet it took over 1 hour for our main courses to arrive. Probably due to the one man band situation.

The food arrived luke warm and below average. £17 for a chicken breast with some mozzarella and Parma ham with veg, could've done it myself for £5 and enjoyed it more! Our other main course was also £17, for a tiny piece of cod, two mussels and two prawns in some sort of fishy sauce- daylight robbery!

We ordered some coffee afterwards only to find that cream was provided rather than milk, yes he had actually run out of milk but didn't even tell us!

This place is a joke. Total rip off- save your money and go elsewhere, anywhere!

We had booked a table for 4 one Saturday evening, we needn't have bothered as we were the only ones in the restaurant for the entire evening.
The chef was also the waiter & we thought we were at a tapas restaurant but not a tapas in sight.
We ate steak & fish, luke warm & poorly presented. The bill was expensive- never again!
