We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this hotel. The room had everything in it you would need. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and nice view of the River Tay. Seemingly we had an upgrade, as the hotel couldn't find our booking, but really I don't know if this was true as it was quite a small room, we did have housecoats, an apple and a bottle of water so maybe it was an upgraded room.
The food was okay, especially the breakfast.
Remember to use the hotel courtesy bus that will pick you and take you to and from Dunkeld which is handy if dark.
We enjoyed the walk along the river, it was beautiful.
The drinks and coffees were very expensive in the hotel bar but I suppose this is to be expected in a Hilton Hotel.
The staff were helpful, and the facilities were good.

Beautiful location and friendly staff but bedrooms overlooking car park on 2nd floor need upgrading and cleaning. After reading reviews about 'dinner' did not eat in hotel but went into Dunkeld to eat where there are several good places. Breakfast was ok but not memorable.
Public rooms are pleasant and there is a nice ambience in the hotel. Pity about the bedrooms!

Room Tip: Apparently to get a good room, one should ask for a de luxeroom overlooking the river!

On a positive note we are pleased you enjoyed the wonderful location we are situated in and the service you received from our staff. We are hoping the room you stayed in will be refurbished soon but there is certainly no excuse for poor cleaning. We thank you for your comments and do hope you will return.
Yours sincerely

This is the second time we have stayed at this Hilton, and this time the experience could not have been improved on in any way. On our previous visit we did not like the room we were allocated, or the location of our room within the hotel, and we thought the breakfast could have been improved on somewhat. We liked the service and the staff very much and the facilities within both the Hotel & grounds are fab...so we kind of liked our first stay in some ways.

This stay, however, was entirely fantastic. The always attentive and polite staff were exceedingly so this time. We stayed in a really nice room, which really is a beautiful suite, 'The Duke's Room'. It was really special. The room boasts nice views (first floor room..just upstairs from the lounge which hosts a grand open fire), a beautiful big four-poster bed, a nice lounge area, good sized TV, and a lovely bathroom with a nice big self-standing roll top bath, and a separate shower at the other end of the room. All in all the visit was luxurious. Dinner was gorgeous...so tasty, and the hot food at breakfast had been improved on (although the 'toasting' machine really needs to be replaced with a more efficient toasting device)...it takes forever to toast your bread! I don't know what the alternative is though, as I also dislike toast which is pre-toasted and stacked for your use...it is very chewy and not as nice as your fresh toast is at this hotel.

All in all, we loved our stay. We connot honestly think of anything that could have been better, so I really do think your enjoyment of your visit here greatly depends on the room you book. Go deluxe. You won't regret it. We WILL be back for more luxury very soon.

Thanks to all the staff whose dedication and attention is wholely apparent. You are all doing a fantastic job...Kirsty, Richard, Joseph, Susan...and the many others who went out of their way to ensure we were happy. It is very much appreciated.

Room Tip: Go deluxe. The Duke's Room is lovely.

My sister and I spent a few days from Sunday 9th. October 2011. I must say I looked up the trip adviser before I went and was disappointed in some of the reviews. However this was certainly not the case when we arrived we had a lovely twin bedded room with a well decorated en-suite. As my sister requires a gluten free menu we were not disappointed in the choices she had and also we found the meals exceptional value and could add additional courses at a small surcharge which we did. The only comment I would make was that I paid £10.50 for a glass of wine - large I might add- and of my choice but I found this a little bit expensive.
I swam every morning before breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The most important aspect of our stay was the staff. They were all very friendly helpful and courteous and I inadvertantly left the charger for my camera in the room and it was sent on to me which was wonderful for without the charger my camera was of no use!!
The location of the hotel is stunning and when we were there there was no rain and so we could wander along the banks of the Tay - all in all for us a really enjoyable time and very good value for money. We will certainly be back and recommend it to all our friends.

We stayed here in March this year as a Christmas present, what a lovely time we had from start to finish.... meals, staff, drinks, room, 4*4 Driving and treatments all first class. You felt like it was another world away opening the curtains in the morning to the Tay River and the Deer ambling by when infact it was just 40 minutes from home up the A9. Special mention to the Restaurant Manager that had the place running like clockwork. (small guy with moustache)

On the back of the first visit which we raved about we went back again in October. Again really enjoyed it, not quite so much as we had a couple of issues with the meal on the Saturday that were rectified the next day and the staff very attentive. The Shooting in the hands of Monty was brilliant, really nice guy and helped loads in our small time with him. Massages in the beauty room again on time and well run. Hotel seems to be getting to the point where it needs a bit of work done to tidy bits up, and our room could of done with blinds in it as we felt it was very open to the car park and shutting the curtains was a bit much through the day for privicy. Breakfasts seemed like they need an extra chef here or there as it always felt like we had to wait for things resulting in the plate getting cold, or that items were getting past their best under the heat lamps and the chap serving was getting a touch frazzled but very accomodating.

Will definately be back again, although not for the Nachos that you get from the bar.... they need toned down a degree or two!!
