The Hermitage Walk will take you to Ossians Hall, a very easy flat walk till you come to this small room that hangs out over the falls. A good look out to the falls and photographs point. You push the door open and then through the glass doors to the balcony. Take care with small children and small dogs. Get to the Hermitage off the A9, sign marked The Hermitage. Park the car at the lower carpark and take the left path under the bridge.. walk along till you come to Ossians Hall and then continue the walk to Ossians cave and the path will then take you in a loop back to the carpark. You can take as long as you want, to continue the walk past Ossians cave to make the walk more than an hour, or you can walk briskly along the loop for less than a hour, it's up to you and your level of activity.

A stunning venue for our small wedding, the views and sounds of the water just breathtaking. Can't wait to return in the spring to see the salmon leaping!

Nice view of the falls but a bit sparse on decoration. The best bit is the walk to get there with some really impressive trees.

The hall is a round building suspended over a river gorge that is interesting from a historical perspective. It was built in order to attract a hermit. The best part is the walk through the Hermitage to get there and the view of the falls.

Been here far too many times to remember as both a child and an adult. The hermitage walk surrounding Ossian's Hall is gorgeous and both of my young children loved their mini adventure. We walked, threw stones into the water, climbed on the stones, looked for mushrooms, investigated Ossian's cave and then got stung by a nettle! It is a shame it is busier than it used to be but this just reflects what a stunning area it is. It may not be the only walk like this in the area but this does not mean that it is not a great place to visit. The Hall itself is a great spot to view the waterfall. Whether you think the last revamp or not is for the better ( bright interior and glass doors) is pretty much down to personal taste and the colour of the interior walls doesn't change the view. I still love going there. :)
