Had an excellent light lunch here with friends. Food was simple but good, bakes spuds with various fillings, fish and chips. Service was friendly, slick and fast. Good value.

We were staying at North Mill, Meikle Trochry which was truly First Class and decided that we would dine out for Hogmanay and I booked Howie's Bistro. We were truly very happy and satisfied with our meal, service, price and surroundings. No faults at all. The 2 female members of staff on duty were very attentative, mannerable and made all customers feel very relaxed and welcome. The food was also reasonably priced as many other establishments bump the price of food up considerably when it is during the Festive Season, not here.
We would certainly have no hesitation in returning and tahnk you for such a lovely meal and excellent service.

The meal we had was not great and definitely not good value. The food was pretty odd. I ordered chicken caesar salad, but it was a whole breast of chicken smothered in a cajan spice rub that was so strong I had to scrape it off so that it was edible. Disappointing.

Was visiting friends who were staying in the Dunkeld Hilton. They had warned us the food there was awful and they were virtually living in this little place called 'Howie's'.
We had coffee on our first visit, were taken with the lovely festive atmospherefirewall stove fires. The lovely Festive music made us stay for a glass of wine and return the next day for a tasty lunch and delicious dinner.
A great place, attention to detail is the best I've seen. Great blackboards and staff couldn't have been more gracious. Can't compliment the owner of this place any more. I was told previously by staff at the Hilton it was a couple who ran it but now just the gentleman. Well the Hilton could certainly learn a thing or two from him!
