My husband and I were on our mini-moon, just married days before we found what looked like a quaint little hotel. We checked in and were shown to a sea view room. It seemed nice at first, Sandra seemed reasonably friendly and gave us advice on where to eat. The decor was very dated and slightly musty smelling. On entering the breakfast room, there were counterfeit items for sale from their trips to Thailand, strange for a rated hotel, but no harm to us here.
The room was comfortable enough, nice views and nice garden.
Our major complaint - and main reason for a poor rating - came when Sandra quite aggresively insisted that we leave our room key behind whilst out for the night. We did so the first night we went out. The next day she insisted again, so being a little suspicious, my husband set our laptop to video whilst we were out (no cleaning, extra tea/towels etc were needed - we said we didnt want any). Quite shockingly, our room was entered while we were out (yes, you're on video I'm afraid...). Understandably this made us feel very uncomfortable. We requested breakfast to our room the next day, when it was brought to our room (continental; oatcakes, cheese, ham + tea - nice enough but small and hardly hearty) I opened the door to receive the tray but was almost pushed aside by Sandra who came straight into the room (where my husband was half naked in bed) and were then warned " don't get it on the sheets". I felt like we were treated like messy children and quite offended at the intrusion of our privacy. Again...
Our stay was ok, though I felt very watched and uncomfortable staying there. Will definitely not be returning.
