Long weekend break by coach, May 2019.
Hotel dated (as expected) but not run down in any way.
Bedroom was very clean, towels and bed linen changed daily. tea/coffee making facilities and hair drier in the room. Bathroom with shower enclosure and toiletries provided.
Excellent view from the bedroom.
Breakfast and evening meals provided, also good provision for gluten free requirements, (booked in the morning) although one order went astray. Only one delay on breakfast service, with food served luke warm!!
All the public rooms were kept very clean and tidy.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, bar staff joined in the evening entertainment at times so a good atmosphere at all times.
So for the price a really good trip, best to book a room with sea view and ensure that the hotel is aware of any mobility issues, as the corridors are quite narrow.

Room tip: Sea views are excellent, some rooms have showers, some shower over baths. long, narrow corridors, one lift near reception

Stayed here in a twin room. Lovely location we didn't have a sea view unfortunately, room clean beds very comfy ensuite with shower over bath, toiletries and hairdryer provided as tea tray. Breakfast in morning choice of cereal grapefruit, followed by porridge then a choice of full English, eggs or smoked fish with eggs or cold ham and eggs. Fish was like rubber. Tea so strong two teabags in a small pot and cold had asked for pot hot water but still very strong. Coffee too strong also. Juices very watered and disgusting so nothing to drink. This would put me off returning to a quite good budget hotel. Loved the fish shaped eggs nice touch.

We have just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable Alfa 5 day break. We travelled there by coach, the journey going well. Hotel was very clean, staff were really friendly & meals were first class. A really good menu, plenty of choice, 3 course dinner followed by tea or coffee. Excellent entertainment each evening. We had a comfortable room, well furnished, overlooking the firth of Clyde. The room had a walk in shower. Excursions included plus a free day in Dunoon

Room tip: Request a Clyde view & walk in shower
