I enjoyed my visit here very much. A nice leisurely stroll around the gardens on a lovely, sunny day before a ploughman's lunch (cash only) from the cute café.

A nice garden in a good location. It was small, but had some good facilities, including picnic area .Perhaps the gardens are a little dull compared to some other similar places

We were slightly disappointed by this garden. It's small and could be more exciting. We spent about two hours here including having lunch. The small cafe is situated in a lovely part of the garden. There is some shelter but on a windy wet day I'd go elsewhere. The garden shed ( you will understand when you visit) is possibly the best bit. Food from the cafe was excellent. Disappointed that the plants for sale were so obviously bought in. Much nicer to see bits sold from the garden. On the whole I think if you're paying there are better value places. We're members so the cost was not relevant.

We started our visit with a walk from the car park up through woodland to the downs and around as the garden wasn't open on the day we went. It looked so lovely that we went back when it was open on a Sunday. What a gorgeous garden. It gave us some great ideas for drought loving plants as they have a little programme going on to test these. The garden has lovely woodland around it and a nice vegetable patch. Lots of seating so you can stop and day dream. Go on a nice day though as it is just the garden open, the house only opens one day a year!
Lots of daffodils were still in flower and camellias in full bloom were wonderful.

We visited 7 May not really expecting too much but we were pleasantly suprised with this glorious house and its very pretty gardens. The whole place had a sense of calm about it. There were still some very pretty white daffodils in full bloom and very stunning blossom trees. There was a rose garden but it was far to early for them so we will definately be returning when they are in bloom. There was a tea room and although it was outside there was quite a large shelter if it was raining. If you are fortunate enough to visit this very well kept garden I suggest that you take the time to enjoy these wonderful, peacefully and stunningly beautiful gardens. We cannot wait to return.
