“Really lovely,couldn't have been better”
Reviewed October 22, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We stayed in the en-suite room which was very comfortable.Lots of nice touches like home made biscuits. We were made very welcome by Michael and Helen. The room overlooks a beautiful peaceful garden and the downs behind.Handy for the village (a bracing 10 minute walk) a great breakfast and a good nights sleep - what more could one want ? Even the dog was welcoming!

“Homely Homelea”
Reviewed June 1, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

My wife and I spent three nights at Homelea over a Bank-holiday weekend and our hosts, Mike and Helen, were simply outstanding. Homelea is their home and by the second day, even though we were out walking most of the time, we really felt as though we were staying with friends. The en-suite room was clean, comfortable and spacious and we could have had the use of the terrace in their beautiful garden if the weather had allowed it. I can honestly say we have never stayed with more generous and helpful hosts and have already booked for the next Bank-holiday weekend. Brighstone is a lovely, friendly village, complete with pub, news agents and store (bread-lovers will not be disappointed) and is ideally located between the downs and the sea for those seeking a quieter location away from busy towns. That said, Newport is only 15 minutes away by car and there is a regular bus service. Thoroughly recommended.

“Home away from Home”

We had the BEST time at Homelea! lovey clean bedroom with a comfy bed & a huge bathroom! Located on the south side of the island not in a quite village, local pub is about a 10 min walk. freshwater & Newport are also about a 10min drive!

Booked a bit last minute Mike & Helen were great! With super recommendations of what do to, which was particularly handy as we very completely unorganised! Absolutely recommend this B&B to everyone & anyone staying on the isle! We hope to be back!

“A return visit to what is now my BnB of choice on the Isle of Wight”

This was a second visit to Homelea, this time in their ensuite room with a sitting room attached. The room was lovely, and beautifully clean. Once again Mike and Helen were very welcoming and friendly and seem to have achieved that perfect balance between treating their guests as part of the family, yet still giving them their space and privacy.

Breakfast is a treat in the guests' annexe off the kitchen, with a door to the garden terrace, open when warm! The location of Homelea, in Brighstone, is convenient for anywhere in central/western Isle of Wight and not far from the sea. I shall certainly be back!

“Beautiful, well-appointed, spacious, yet cozy home near the sea on the Isle of Wight”

Despite being from far away (Western USA), this was our second stay in a year with the hosts at "Homelea," a spacious, well-appointed, garden-setting home in the village of Brighstone on the Isle of Wight. The home itself is classically designed and spacious; the grounds are immaculate, with twin patios, mature trees, an abundance of wildflowers, and meticulous landscaping throughout. The setting is world-class and idyllic: Green, rolling hills to the north, and the sea to the south, only a short walk down a charming, hedge-rowed country road. Breakfast at Homelea is classically English--scrumptious and satisfying, and the hosts couldn't be warmer, friendlier, more low-key people. Homelea is located near some of the Isle's most remarkable landmarks, such as Carisbrooke Castle, Tennyson Down, and the Needles. A short walk gets you to the coast itself, but also a stunning, hilltop, Isle-spanning, coastal view. A easy car rental in Ryde costs only 30 pounds per day and makes the entire Isle accessible from this ideal spot on the south coast. I can't recommend Homelea strongly enough... We've fallen in love with the place and its proprietors, and will make a stop at Homelea whenever we return to the U.K.

“Superb Bed and Breakfast”

Beautiful house set in lovely, well kept gardens in a picturesque village. The hosts were very welcoming and provided a very nice breakfast. The room was extremely comfortable with en suite bathroom. This is a superb base for exploring the island. I would highly recommend staying in this bed and breakfast which is good value and you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.
