When we arrived at the Park Inn, we were straight away shocked to see the place. if you look on the website it stands alone and looks very Tudor and in an idyllic position. Not at all as it looks on the website when arriving. It is on the corner of a busy street and we were greeted by Security men on the doors. Also black bins round the side pushed up to the wall but on the pavement, and the building was far from standing alone or in an idyllic setting. Having said that the booking in was very friendly and Billy was very accommodating. {although finishing his mouthful of food while speaking} We took our elderly mother who had a walking stick, we had messaged ahead to say,' not too many stairs if possible' and there was only one flight of stairs. However on arriving into our rooms to say we were shocked would be an understatement. the rooms were £60 a night we booked two nights and looking on the website this seems a fair rate to pay for the area. Also on the website this place, looks clean, well situated and a good fair price, however it has to be said, that even the basic fundamental needs were not met. we had a dirty quilt and pillows and the bed was not the best, on first impressions you think, well its basic but ok. But then you go into the bathroom and the shower was dirty and the sink grubby the curtains were awful, there was two mugs and a kettle and the mugs were still with the labels on the bottom and the price price, the mirror in the bathroom was to high and the lamp in the room broken it was the worst experience we have ever had, l felt so embarrassed to have taken my elderly mother there. when you used the sink / toilet the pipes banged badly. Luckily l take a cotton sheet wherever we go as my husband suffers with eczema, we put that on the bed and towels on the pillows. we only stayed the one night and left the next day. Please look at the website and see what you think. My advice is if you want a night in a working mans pub with the lads its great, there is live music and Sky Sports. this is more a place for guys who are wanting somewhere to lay there heads after a long day on the road. Sorry to say this but we were truly disappointed. This place should be advertised differently of course this only our feelings but a true view of what we felt.

As we were down for a football match in Dover and visiting several pubs along the Kent coast, the location opposite the railway station was great so we could leave our bags in the room and continue our evening. The room had 2 comfortable single beds, a small bathroom with toilet and shower and a tv. There was fast free wifi and also a breakfast bag of teas, coffees, orange juice, biscuits and a croissant. For what we needed the room for, it did a very good job.

What a wonderful place. Wonderful rooms, location,Bar, staff, hosts and food. Everything was faultless. From the moment we arrived (to a genuinely warm welcome) to our reluctant departure we felt valued and looked after .This place really ticks all the boxes. And then some. We ate dinner in the restaurant, it was really delicious and beautifully presented. The service was faultless. The meal was delicious Best we've eaten anywhere in a family Hotel .Everything was wonderful. We are planning an early return visit. Thank you all. It was amazing

My husband and I went here with my mum and dad for a Sunday roast. It is located right next to Folkestone Central Station and Radnor Park. The restaurant was small but quaint and the tables were nicely spaced. It was busy so you should book beforehand. 3 of us had the chicken and my dad had the beef. The food was hot and delicious. The vegetables were cooked to perfection as was the yorkshire pudding and stuffing, the meat was tender and moist and the potatoes were crispy and fluffy inside! The portions were perfect too. We all had a pudding. My mum and I had the Banofee Icecream Sundaes. These had real banana pieces within the cream and icecream covered with a caramel sauce!! They were deliciously yummy. My husband had the ginger sponge with pouring cream and my dad had the homemade Rhubarb crumble with custard!! They both had empty plates once finished and said they tasted great!! We also had a bottle of Merlot with our meal. It was excellent value for money, working out about £13.00 per head.

We then sat in the bar area and had a few more drinks whilst watching the football. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the clientele in the bar were all friendly and welcoming.

A really lovely Sunday afternoon.

Room Tip: Did not stay here so cannot comment.
