Traditional harbour where you can still see working fishermen, buy locally caught fish and seafood and sit overlooking the harbour or sea. Perfect day out for the family.

“Very busy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

I visited Folkestone in November of 2012 and was not feeling 100%. But a good walk around Folkestone and an hour or so taking in the Harbour was what was called for. Being November not much was open. But the commings and goings at the harbour was great

“Please do something with it”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

Hadn't realised it is no longer ferry port. It looks as though it's just been left to rot. Demolition of the old buildings and some sympathetic development would work wonders. I guess it's all down to money. Congratulations on the bit of work that's been done to brighten the area up.

“Folkestone Harbour Area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

To an old Folkestonion the harbour area has been very run down but over the past couple of years or so it has had money spent on it but still could do with more investment. I do not like modern buildings like the Smokehouse building which does not blend in with other buildings along the old Fishmarket,
