Wonderful views over to France, this green park runs for about a mile as far as the imposing Grand Hotel and Metropolitan Hotel where Edward the SEventh and his son George 5th Had suites.
Benches and lawns and steps down to the beach, also a funicular railway.

The Leas Promenade is the gentle and relaxing places to walk of all walks. The best time, in my opinion is early evening just as the sun ( do you remember that ball of fire ) is setting, the view all the way to Dymchurch is beautiful. Use all your senses when you take a walk along here. It's quite something.

The portion of the town overlooking the English Channel is known as the Leas and is particularly attractive. A long pedestrian pathway meanders through a greenbelt along the cliff. There are several large, elegant hotels along the Leas that grace Folkestone's waterfront.
