Starter was lovely, sizzling, and tasty. Had a chick pea curry for a change was also very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Very reasonable for what we had. No licence but you can bring your own alcohol

I've been a frequent customer of Shama for 6 years now, the food is always fantastic alongside the service.
I have severe allergies an the staff are always happy to help, the ONLY downside i would comment on is that they've recently changed to a 'bring your own booze' policy and no longer sell alcohol.

Definitely worth a try, it is a firm favourite in Huddersfield that I'm constantly recommending.

Drive past regularly, only 5 minutes from home and only tried after reading so many positive reviews on TA! Staff were welcoming, atmoshere very casual and relaxed (no need to dress up for a Saturday evening out!) and overall, we enjoyed our food. Starters we chose (samosas and onion bahjis) were very ordinary and next time we'd go for a mixed one, but very impressed with our main courses (tikka masala and dhansak), they were really tasty and not at all oily, naan bread were good too. Found the surroundings a bit bright and a bit lacking in atmosphere for a meal for two, and disappointed they dont deliver, but we will definately eat again, either in or take-away.
