We held our wedding here and it couldn't have been more amazing. The whole day went smoothly from start to finish and this was down to the hardwork of all the staff. The food was excellent and the whole of the hotel was spotless. We couldn't speak highly enough about Briar court, they helped to make it truly unforgettable and all our guests said it was 'the best wedding ever'!

I have stayed here on business a couple of times now, it's very handy for the M62 corridor between Leeds and Manchester being only a few minutes from the motorway.

Reception is extremely friendly and quick, I had my key inside 2 minutes.

The room was very nice, comfortable bed, a work desk, free wi-fi and the bathroom was spacious with a good shower. The only issue with this otherwise super little hotel is the heating, when the radiators come on it sounds like a steam train (in both rooms I have stayed in) - surely this is an easy fix?

Didn't have dinner at the hotel but they do bar snacks and will get food over for you from the Italian restaurant next door, the bar area is nice.

Breakfast is probably the best I have ever had at an hotel, plentiful, beautifully cooked & presentd and piping hot.

Overall a very nice small hotel with lovely staff, fix the plumbing and it would be perfect!

Room Tip: Ask for the back of the hotel, those on the front can be a bit noisy from the busy road.

We held our Daughters and son in laws wedding reception here and a few of us stayed over B&b, it was all excellent, superb food for breakfast, reception and evening buffet, the hotel is spotlessly clean as are the rooms, the staff are very friendly and helpful if you are looking for a venue for a wedding reception you will struggle to find anywhere better

Good hotel for business and leisure. It's not the Ritz but for the price it is excellent. 3 or 4 minutes to Town and 2 minutes to M62. Look around and pay £100 but it won't be as good as this. Sure it could do with a lick of paint but i just sleep there so no big deal to me. Breakfast is superb.

The Briar Court Hotel adjoins my favorite Italian restaurant Da Sandro, just off the M62 and a 10-minute drive (2 pounds bus- or 5 pounds taxi-ride) from the town center. I fly in from the USA once or twice a year and they always manage to have my room available early. I have always found the service to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms are adequate - definitely not at the fancy end - limited in size and with a pretty basic shower unit. For anyone coming to the area on business or for a very short leisure trip, it's excellent value; better so in my view than the nearby Cedar Court.

Room Tip: There's no elevator (lift) so avoid the upper floor if you have difficulty with stairs.

Hotel has great parking, good location for Huddersfield

Rooms - adequate, clean, had the heating on all night but just coudl not get it warm

Breakfast was good, full english but if you want other things not so good

Friendly staff

Bad thing- shower was like bathing with a kettle, it was so hot, once it was set it was great, but it should not be able to burn you like it did, crazy hot!!!
