We chanced upon this little bus waiting by Sid's Cafe and on the spur of the moment decided to hop aboard. We were with friends who although having visited family in Huddersfield on many occasions had never been to Holmfirth.
There is a recorded guide interspersed with commentary from the driver. The tour takes around 45 minutes and takes you through the valley and the sights where the series Last of the Summerwine was filmed. You see the camera tricks used and travel on the roads where the many escapades of the main characters took place. You also learn a little of the local history and the number of floods which have swept through this peaceful little area.
We all enjoyed it very much, travelling in the footsteps of Compo and Co.
