“Exceptional in Every Way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

Food of exceptional quality, always tasty, authentic and well presented regardless of whether its for a table of 24 people or just a couple. Their Muttabel starter is exquisite and better than any I tasted in Istanbul and the Dolma is just divine even on Wet West Yorkshire day. Everything is freshly made including the perfect Flat Breads and the Menu range is extensive. True to the Lebanon the Menu includes extensive traditional vegetarian options, as well as the meat dishes, all of which are seasoned and prepared delectably and certainly no afterthought as they are in many eateries. I'm not sure anywhere else I've ever been could satisfy so many tastes so admirably.

“Best Restaurant in Huddersfield”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Our favourite restaurant in Huddersfield. The food here is very different from other places in town which makes a refreshing change. The restaurant is small but full of big surprises. The food is freshly prepared for your order, not overly hot but tastefully spiced. Plenty of choices on the menu with something for everyone. The soup has been my favourite throughout the winter, absolutely delicious, together with the tasty Lebanese flatbread has been a good warming starter. The Maqluba (rice with chicken and aubergine) is another favourite of ours as is Lamb Shawarma. When we go with the family we share a selection of different starters so we can sample all the different flavours, a good introduction into Lebanese food if visiting for the first time. As the food is freshly made for you, be prepared to wait - good food takes time to prepare and is worth waiting for. Take your time and savour the delicious food. If planning to go at the weekend, be sure to book, I can assure you won't be disappointed.

“Still Good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

We have been a number of times before and the food is still as good.

The flat breads are fresh and tasty and all the meal is tasty and not overly hot but nicely spiced.

I had a starter of minced lamb covered in a very tasty crust, called Kubbeh Makliye could have eaten them as main they were moreish.

I then had the Chicken Shawarma an old favorite and the wife had the Bamya stew which was beef and okra very tasty.

Gets busy especially on a weekend we have tried to 'pop in' a couple of times and been disappointed so if you want to ensure you get a table make sure you book.

“Good quality food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

Good food that is freshly cooked (you can see into the kitchen from outside). We had four starters and we cleared our plates and the bread was freshly baked. Our mains were the same with rice to die for, I like a bit of spice and would say they were a little bland but still very good.
The service started out first rate but sadly we were left for 20 mins after the mains for deserts, still no waitress so opted for the mint with the bill instead.
Four starters, mains and a round of drinks came to about £82.
Well worth a visit but you must book as they are not to big and they get busy.

“med one just what the doctor ordered”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

First class food, well cooked and spiced. An extensive menu with so much choice even for vegetarians. I needed comfort food and I wasn't disappointed. Very tasty, healthy, freshly prepared authentic Lebanese food - wonderful rice and lentils, freshly baked garlic flatbread, spinach pie, mixed salad and roasted veg - Lebanese tea was very warming and served in a fab teapot. Hard to believe its in Huddersfield town centre. We will be back soon not only to sample more off the menu but also to support a family run business.
