Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Great value for money- weren’t there long so didn’t use the facilities (ie bar/ restaurant)

Reception was a bit small/ dark but served its purpose and was a lovely stay.

Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Stayed for the night. 1st impressions were good. Beautiful location and lovely building. Reception member of staff was polite. Stayed on standard double room. Again 1st impressions were great... clean and well presented. However ... on closer inspection the duvet cover had a hole in it (not small either) and the bathroom cabinet had a considerably stained shelf and the bottom join of the cabinet was in fact coming away. That aside had a comfortable and good nights sleep. Breakfast was ok ... for £10 each not great. Would we stay again .. yes but wouldn’t have breakfast

as usual the staff and food were lovely here. No complaints about them. But we asked for a walk in shower, both having mobility problems, and we didn't get one. The shower was over the bath but the bath was so high it was impossible for me to get into it. The weather was very hot and a shower was essential.

Room tip: suggest phoning the hotel and state your needs.

We stayed her for our friends wedding reception even though we only live 20 minutes away.
The location is beautiful - But then it is on top of the valley. The staff were informative, friendly and eager to please and the couple that got married were over the moon with their day.
I have NEVER had such a GOOD breakfast in a hotel, it was a buffet style breakfast and I could not fault it, cooked to perfection, moorish and so many options! If I could afford it I'd go there every day just to eat it!
Every thing was wonderful, except our bedroom :-( the decor was lovely and had everything you needed for a night or two stay, however, we couldn't decide if it smelt of wet dog or old tobacco, we went with the former as we were aware pets are allowed and the spot lights in the bathroom were covered in paint so couldn't have been the latter especially as it's a no smoking policy! The room looked out onto the car park, in fact there was a car parked right outside our bedroom window and if it had been any closer it would have been part of the room, it is a shame there isn't a smallish flower bed around the outside just for that little bit of space between the building and the car park, but it gets very busy so maybe they are worried about losing spaces?? In the morning, even though we were at the end of the corridor (before the stairs to the next level) it was quite noisy with people walking past and chattering so I am assuming the rooms are not soundproofed which is a bit of shame, the size of the room was adequate for a night or two but no more and it was also quite dark - So in all the room let the experience down, but not enough to not recommend it as I most certainly would, if just for the food!
So 10/10 for the function, the staff, the food, the beauty, but I'm afraid it's a sluggish 7/10 for the room - Well worth a stay though :-)

Stopped here on Tuesday 16 April. The car park was almost full. There was a function on and the restaurant was also full. The atmosphere was really nice. The food was good and my room was nicely decorated. The staff were all very friendly. Overall a pleasant stay.
