“Pleasantly surprised”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

Tried this restaurant only because the place we were intending to eat was closed and I’m glad it was! The food was delicious and the service exemplary. It’s easy to see why this establishment comes out near the top of places to eat in Luton.

“My favourite Indian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

My partner and I are regulars to this restaurant (it's about the only restaurant in Luton that shows any imagination with its menu!), and I recommend it highly.

The chilli paneer is my favourite, followed by the chilli lamb and chicken Mongolian, but all the food I've had there is consistently good, and the service generally excellent - unobtrusive but attentive, and the waiting staff know the food well and are happy to advise. They also seem to know their wines, which is a plus.

Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Beware - it does get very busy on Friday nights, and i'd guess at weekends too, so it may be advisable to book.

Do go if you're in the area!

“Nearly Top Notch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

I went with Friends with great expectations. We were not disappointed.

We enjoyed the food except for Paner Tikka which was rather bland.

Papa J's has the potential for being exceptional! However, the focus currently appears to be on turnover rather than the clients.

“Excellent food!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2012

I've been back here several times now and I have to say that the food is getting better and better. Fantastic.

We had a varied selection of food that was excellently cooked and presented as mouthwatering dishes.

We subscribe to the little and often philosophy of Tapas and have definite dish favourites; the Mongolian paneer being at the very top of this list. Absolutely great food.

The service is subtle, attentive and the staff know what each dish is and can recommend and help when the choices become overwhelming.

We love this place!!!!!!!!!

When we visited the atmosphere was electric, loads of noise and laughter. At the end of the night the bill is a great surprise as it's value for money and well worth leaving a tip for.
