I and five of my female friends visited Steak Parisien on Wed 11th April.
Being midweek the restaurant was quite, but the ambience was excellent. The background music was subtle and not overpowering and the waitress was attentive without being too overbearing.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and was really worried about what we were going to face having read the recent reviews.
Thankfully we did not find any of the negative points that reviewers have listed and we had an excellent evening.
We all had three courses and with drinks and service it came to £27.50 a head !. The steaks were exceptional and I know of no other restaurant where you get a 2" thick slab of serloin steak for £16. The sauces were lovely, I had the peppercorn, several others had the roqfort, no one was disappointed.
The sweets were all home made and delicious. I had the cherry cheesecake, very moorish.
Overall I think this is an excellent restaurant, fantastic steaks and sauces and wonderful sweets.
Having been on a friday and saturday night I agree that the service goes awry and it becomes a tad chaotic just because there are not enough waitresses to serve a full restaurant. However if you go wednesday, thursday you still get the excellent food with attentive waiting staff without the chaos.
I will definitely be returning soon as will all of my friends.
