Lots of animals to see and feed, and hands-on experiences in the barn, plus tractor and trailer rides. Entry fees are quite expensive for a family.

“Avidaunt”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Have visited many times with my favourite nieces and nephews. As long as they love it, then so do I. Could do with a little maintenance work but the farm is good value for money, and the animals are well cared form. Christmas is an especially good time to go. There is also an excellent craft shop (Craft Stash) that runs great workshops for children and adults.

“Good Farm”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

After reading the other reviews I didn't have high expectations for this place but thought we would visit as it was close to home. The price is good compared to some other farms. The farm was full of animals and my children enjoyed the small animal handling session. The outdoor tractors and children's vehicles were a hit and they really enjoyed the inside soft play area whilst we enjoyed a coffee in the café. It could do with a bit of tlc but overall and enjoyable trip.

“Great value, would recommend”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

We have bought annual membership to this farm for 4 years in a row for my two boys age 7 and 5. It is good value, for £120 you get family membership which means you can go as often as you like for a year, and its always open apart from christmas day! The outside area has animals (llamas, alpacas, monkeys, lemurs, birds, donkeys, goats), an inside barn with things like snakes, pigs, sheep, rabbits, chinchillas) and some play areas. Outside play facilities a bit old but kids seem to enjoy them (sand pit, trampolines, merry-go-round, swings). Some old tractors have been painted up to climb on. And there's an indoor soft play area so even when its wet you can while away an afternoon letting them jump about. Better than paying £10 per child for one afternoon a dedicated soft play area. I would recommend this farm if you have kids under 8 and live locally, but membership is better value than a single visit.

“Neglected, not enough animals & staff.”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Went today - 2nd visit in 18 months.
Place had definitely gone downhill & looked very neglected. There seemed to be less animals & everywhere needs refurbishment.
My husband went to feed some goats - 1 jumped over the fence & proceeded to head butt a young girl & then her grandmother. There were no staff anywhere to be found. Definitely a health & safety issue.
We did however have a lovely lunch at Jake's cafe!
Think we'll head to Willows Farm next time!

Thank you for taking the time to review our farm. We can assure you that there is always sufficient staff to ensure staff and public safety. A member of the management team is always available to respond to any customer queries should there be any concerns. We hope you will visit us another time - perhaps in the summer months when the weather is brifghter?
