“Just OK”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

Having seen this restaurant has recently knocked Papa J's from the top spot we shot up here for a chicken Dhansak. As a Dhansak lover this is the worst I've ever had. The cook seemed to have spilt a bag of sugar in it. Now I know the Dhansak should be hot, sweet and sour but it shouldn't entail a trip to the dentist. Left it after eating a spoon full.

Won't be going back unless I fancy desert.

“Local excellence.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014 via mobile

Spice of Caddington is the premier reason for visiting the picturesque village of Caddington. Set amidst tranquil greenery, the ambience is far from unpleasant.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of a team of knowledgeable and friendly staff. The environment is clean, stylish and relaxed. Although very busy at weekends, tables are usually available during the week and an enjoyable, authentic Culinary experience is assumptive.
Callum, the restaurant owner, is usually on hand to meet diners in person and to ensure no detail is overlooked.
If the occasion warrants it, opt for the house specialty Deshi Tikka Biryani, an experience not to be missed.
There's something inexplicably charming about a first rate local restaurant. Spice of Caddington is certainly a local treasure and should be frequented by all means.

Reviewed March 27, 2014

Been to many indian restaurants across the UK and over the rest of the world (excluding India!!!) and this is the best Indian food I have had. On top of that the service is brilliant and everyone is always greeted with a smile! I would recommend to anyone!
