For any family seeking a great day out this is the place to visit and its free. The Centre offers everything for both adults and children, a museum which houses a wonderful collection of horse drawn carriages, motor vehicles and many other exhibits of local interest. There are extensive grounds and formal gardens which are maintained to the highest order. The old stable block houses displays of rural crafts and local history and is well set out. There is restaurant, coffee shop with outside dining area which is perfect on a sunny day. Stockwood Park provides other attractions so any family visiting will find something to suit all age ranges. The Council deserves a pat on the back for for providing such a facility. I have no reservations in recommending people to visit.

Just off the m1 near Luton, we stopped here to break up the journey to Yorkshire. Free parking and entry, lovely gardens and variety of museum exhibits. Great for family and excellent value!!!

This is a great place to go for the day. Loads of interesting things to look at. Old cars, gardens, playground for the children, nice coffee shop and restaurant. great gift shop and all for free but you can make a donation of your choice if you want to give. Really recommend this place.

My son of 14 years and I enjoyed a lovely experience of walking through a myriad of carriages at the Mossman Carriage museum; each one sitting proudly in all its glory. It was a sort of 'through the ages' theme; very informative, engaging the audience through both colour and question. You even get to experience sitting in an Elizabethan carriage which just tipped the sales for us both...it allowed our imaginations to run wild. A great experience for all ages!

Went there for a day out with the grandchildren and was most pleasantly surprised. There was no charge for admission and there was much to keep the children happy. The food was also very good which was a bonus.
There was also a golf center next to this attraction.
Well worth a visit.
