We called in at Stockwood to break up a long journey on the motorway. What an excellent find!! We have two small children and they loved it here. We had a lovely picnic in the gardens, and a walk around the different gardens. The gardens are beautifully kept and are all different styles including a sensory garden. There is a bee exhibition which was interesting and a small museum. The play area is divided so that the toddlers can play on one side, which includes a little slide on pretend grass. On the other side is a big adventure playground for older children, with big climbing frames and climbing wall. There is a cafe on site, although we did not visit as we had our own food and a gift shop at the end with a good selection of gifts and little toys. Overall, a very nice trip for a couple of hours and free admission.
