I came here with a group of us but alas the weather was dreadful. However that did not deter the beauty of the gardens. there is the Italian garen, the american garden and the English garden with splendid statues everywhere. The pavillion is wonderful a must when you visit with many trompe l'eoil on the ceilings and walls to give you the 3D illusion. The staff in the house and in the gardens who are volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. You even get driven arouond in a gold cart if the weather is bad. Lovely forest areas. The only negative was the cafe. the food was ok but just so slow for the amount of people they have. The service certainly must be improved.

Thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the beautiful grounds.
However the service at the cafe was terrible. Spoilt our day out. Waited a long time in queue, no knives and forks (other people had food which was going cold!), no napkins or condiments. The staff had no customer service skills and weren't motivated to help out.
Recommend a visit but take a picnic!

I have been to this wonderful venue for many years and never tire of the absolutely stunning house, gardens and views. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The house, orangery and other are buildings are steeped in history and its amazing how English heritage look after the place. They are even replanting the American Garden to what it used to be like in years gone by. I look forward to many more years of enjoyment to come.

We saw mixed reviews about Wrest Park on Trip Advisor but we were very pleased with what it had to offer. Right off of the car park there is a new and large playground that let our kids work out some post-drive energy. Next to the play ground is a building that's only a few years old with clean toilets, a cafe and the ticket centre/gift shop. We spent most of our day (after the play ground) on the expansive grounds which had a lot to offer. Many unique sculptures and bespoke gardens on the 92 acre grounds. There is also an orangery, a Chinese temple and bridge, and a few other structure we didn't get to. Be sure to bring a picnic!!

We didn't spend much time at the house as we were all pretty tired after a few hours walking around and having a picnic. As there was a private event going on, all that the house had available was some information about the history of the house (which was very good) and an indoor garden area. We'll look forward to seeing more of the inside next time!!

Visited Wrest Park on 12th September 2013.

The gardens are very beautiful and worth spending several hours exploring.

The walk to the Pavilion takes you past the Long Water. The refelctions of both Wrest Park and the Pavilion on the Long Water are stunning.

There was several Golf Cart Shuttles taking guests around the Gardens providing commentary.

The only disappointment was Wrest Park house itself, I found myself completing the House tour very quickly. The rooms that were on display were of a very high standard. I just wish that more of the house was available to view. Having said that, the Gardens make up for this.
