Again, I would remind the reader that curry is our thing, and we eat a lot of it :-)
We did not have starters, save the standard poppadoms and pickle array.
We always have three main courses between us.
Rice was keema [not on the menu] and mushroom.
Onion bhajees with main and mango kulfi to follow.
Chiken Tikka Pathia was fine but lacked something.
The Chicken Tikka Tamarind was very nice but again seemed to be without important flavours.
My good lady ordered a special sizzler [2nd or 3rd up on the chefs specials list] which was very nice. Unusually presented and with some very delicate flavours.
The keema rice was acceptable, but the mushroom rice was better than most; tasty and brimming with mushrooms.
The bhajees were large, tasty, fresh and perfectly cooked.
Tiger beer in small bottles [the bane of my life!]
Overall if the marking were permitted, possibly about 3.2-3.4 out of 5.
It was nice enough but will not last in the memory and we will look for an alternative when we return to Minehead.
One last comment. The premises are long and thin, so there is always traffic past your table. It didnt bother me too much, but some might find it tiresome.
