Minehead is an odd place, mostly full of Butlins customers escaping the complex for an hour or two. Lots of the places are the good old British fare type, cheap grub at 'cheap' prices. We were pleased to find Stones that I think isn't long opened? It was a large and airy place with helpful professional staff. The drinks range was good, nice wine and beer. We both ate the ploughmans which was one of the best we have every had. Very imaginative take on the traditional ploughmans lunch which looked attractive, pretty even, and tasted delicious. We sat in the conservatory and watched the world and his wife wander by. Very chilled and very modern and up market, My only comment is they do goldfish bowl cocktails which is great for getting the twenty somethings in but I asked about cocktails and they don't do them at all? Rather odd for a place like that. Cocktails are essentail! If you're in Minehead and are fed up of the chips and fosters give it a try.
