We spent two nights in mid-June, 2014. Lovely gardens around back with a massive rose archway greeted us shortly after Peter's warm welcome to his and his wife's well-run establishment. Our room was clean and quiet with an extra bed which could have been nice if we had a child (and was not disclosed when we booked the room on Hotels.com). All around they met and exceeded expectations, even slicing and toasting the spelt bread we brought (which we prefer to wheat for dietary reasons) for our breakfast. The breakfast here features a great variety, too, with locally produced fare, great croissants, rolls, fruit, muesli, bread, jam... whatever, while you wait (only a short while) for a top-tier English breakfast (or choice of other options). Truly fantastic, all around. We will definitely return, when we get the chance.

With no kids for the weekend, Gorgeous Girlfriend and I had a short break in Minehead. the Glendower proved to be a sublime find. A warm welcome, a spacious, light and bright room, quality toiletries in the en suite, and a tasty choice for breakfast. The guest house is a short distance from the main shopping street and the seafront. We took a bottle of wine, just in case we wanted a relaxing vin rouge in our room, and our hosts provided a couple of wine glasses. Very thoughtful service indeed. Recommended without any hesitation.

Room Tip: First floor rooms at the front are light and bright and airy. We had room 12.

We stayed for 2 nights over the May bank holiday for some great walking and sight seeing. We couldn't fault Glendower house at all. The welcome was nice and the room big enough for us with an excellent shower. It is located about 5 minutes walk from the sea front with all of the usual restaurants and bars.
The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, great coffee and everything made fresh. We'd definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We booked a 2 day break after reading reviews on trip advisor,
I must say the glendower did not let us down, we were greeted by Peter and after filling in registration form we were shown to our room, number 9.
The room was very pleasantly decorated, the bed very comfy, tea and coffee ample supplies, 2 bottles of water, plenty of wardrobe space.
The shower/toilet area was of ample size with plenty of so generous supply of soaps shower/hair gel, towels were of generous size and very soft.
The room was at the front of the hotel, but there was very little noise disturbance.
We had a good nights sleep and made our way down for breakfast, all the normal extras were available first and then a full english to follow with a supply of toast and coffee/tea, the breakfast was of good quality, freshly cooked and very tasty.
The hotel is situated nearer the beach/harbour area and close to bars / shops/ cafes.
Overall we really thought the Glendower was exceptional and we can recommend it.

Room Tip: We had room 9 , looking out to the front of the hotel

Stayed at this B&B last week for a few days whilst working in the area. Very friendly and attentive service. All facilities were in place. Breakfast was very good - eggs cooked just right. Peter remembered my order, and had also remembered to check that my minicab was coming (booked the night before). Establishments run this well deserve to flourish. Will be back.
