“Lovely family run site”
Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

We arrived Friday 6th for our first family camping trip (tent) with a 1 year old and 7 year old in tow. Beautiful surroundings and instantly greated by friendly and helpful site owner who offered to get us anything we needed to save going into the local village.
The site and amenities were very clean and well maintained. Can't wait to book again! Thank you for making it a fantastic first camping experience!

Lovely campsite in a super location. We went with friends. My daughter is obsessed with horses so a perfect location. We went late May bank holiday and our first observation was it was very busy. The facilities are clean and tidy and the onsite shop sells everything you would need. The children played happily, but not a huge space for games unlike other sites we've stayed on. The only annoying thing was we were on a slope and after 3 nights I was tried of living on a hill! Nothing stayed on tables, kids had a be re positioned during the night due to sliding and sitting in chairs was tricky at times. That said, we would go back...it is in a lovely setting and the site is well maintained.

We stay at Burrowhayes year after year, there is nothing we can fault about the site and will continue to return several times a year! The shop is well stocked with every essential you may need, the toilet and shower block is always exceptionally clean with lovely hot showers and it is a perfect distance to walk into Porlock or to Horner for a cream tea. Julian helped us pitch the caravan and we had a lovely area of our own as it was a quieter weekend. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Anywhere is lovely.

A superb campsite in an exquisite location. Friendly, great facilities and splendid views. Just outside the sea side town of minehead with access straight out of the back of the site on to the moor, if you want a walking, riding or just a relaxing holiday- you can't go wrong. Porlock is a stroll away with lovely shops and an excellent pint of real ale in the ship inn.

We spent two nights at this campsite in Early April, the welcome was first rate and the facilities at this site are excellent. We would definitely come again although the site is less than an hour from home! The surrounding streams, moor and beach are all of course excellent too!

We stayed here (camping) in September 2013 and are going back again this year. What a brilliant campsite this is! The pitch we had was on a slope but there was a flat one available. We couldn't pitch on the flat ground as our electric cable wasn't long enough unfortunately. We've since upgraded our electric cable from 10m to 20m so this shouldn't be a problem next time. Facilities are very good, clean and modern. The scenery is breathtaking with lots of woodland around and a stream running past the site. The owners are very friendly and courteous. I would recommend Burrowhayes Farm to everyone!

We (my wife and I) stayed in our 2 berth caravan in October. The weather was a bit rough but the 4 nights we stayed were great. We couldn't decide on a pitch when we were shown the options, so we were offered an 'upgrade' to a fully serviced pitch at no extra cost! Which was great. It had water, waste, electric and tv connection. One thing worth noting is the lack of ANY tv signal at all unless you plug into the site connection when you get channels 1-4 on analogue only. A small point but worth knowing :f you like your tv. The site is in a most beautiful setting beside the stream with fields and woods all around. Whilst there we took the opportunity to go riding, (a lifetime first for my wife!) which we thoroughly enjoyed. We went all through the adjoining Woodland and had a lovely time.
We had a meal at the historic Ship Inn - all very good. We'll definitely be back for more exploring of the area, there is far too much for one visit. All in all, a great site.
