Run mostly by volunteers it's a great trip out with fantastic "staff". I would recommend paying a visit to Watchet as a lovely little harbourside village with some lovely little cafés and local pubs with some little shops selling various things. and then back on the steam train with a well stocked buffet car. also keep an eye out for special events throughout the year.

This is an extremely well honed and run (mostly by volunteers!) attraction. All of the stations are very tidy, atmospheric and well kept. For enthusiasts, it must surely "tick all the boxes" and for the general public is a good way to spend the day out as the scenery and local area is lovely to look at and gives a rest for the driver of the car! There are cafes at some of the stations which are quite nice plus gift/souvenir shops. All the staff are appropriately turned out according to their job needs and helpful and knowledgeable. This railway is run very professionally and gave us the impression of one of immense pleasure. We have visited it and supported it on each occassion we have come to this part of Somerset. We plan to do so again soon!

We had a fantastic day on the railway for the Autumn Steam Gala. We had good weather, and there were lots of engines running. It was also great looking round Williton Station.
I have to say, the catering man on the train was really great. He offered us sandwiches and mugs, and spent time talking to us. A great day out.

Great day out for all the family! Good value for money, snacks on the train and intersting stops. My nephew loved it as he is into Thomas the Tank engine and we went on a steamie train, he loved it!
