Description: The Quay Inn - where everyone is most welcome. We delight in offering the best, locally sourced, quality, foods and real ales at reasonable prices. The menu changes with the seasons. We also LOVE MUSIC! Quay Roots at the Quay Inn, frequently presents local, national and international music acts. The next event will present Cam Penner and Jon Wood from Canada, on Halloween night. We also host regular acoustic and plugged open music sessions, and the next one of these will on Sunday afternoon, 6th October, at 2:30pm.The Quay also provides an extensive coffee and tea menu and fantastic selection of naughty yummies (cakes, desserts) that can be enjoyed all day. We welcome dogs and well behaved owners, and also have a wonderful large garden where you can enjoy the lovely sea air.

“Lovely pub, no atmosphere ”
Reviewed July 9, 2014 via mobile

We ate here on 26th June as it was close to our B&B. They only served one type of gin - no lemon. We ordered Thai and it was excellent.

We found the barmaid pleasant, but having spoken to others, apparently we caught her on a good day. There were only a few other couples eating at the same time as us, which we found surprising considering it was a lovely evening and the pub is in an ideal location, being right on the promenade.

We returned on the Saturday for a drink in the afternoon and sat in the garden. We were served by a pleasant, friendly young man.

As other reviews have commented, this pub could be a real joy, it's just lacking a certain something

“One good barman”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We stayed in the Wetherspoons hotel but didn't fancy eating there. Looking around at somewhere to go, we found this place off the beaten track, which was perfect as it was adult weekend at Butlins. The place was dead. There was a VERY mardy girl behind the bar, and an odd man changing the ale. Thankfully, the young batman served us. He was great. The food was good value for money, but I can't help but feel this place is missing a trick. Very sad that it wasn't busier

“Thai Food”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

The food was fantastic but.... We had booked to eat at 8pm. Our starter did not arrive until 9.15pm! We weren't the only people who had waited an extremely long time. Despite this I must say the food was amazing and the next time we are in Minehead we will return. Hopefully we won't have to wait so long!

“Could have been so much better”
Reviewed June 19, 2014 via mobile

Just had a meal here today. Arrived at 1 and sat in the lovely beer garden. Ordered at 1.30. Food arrived at 2.10 after I had to chase it up. Two meals were ok, other meal was wrong. Girls sorted it out straight away and offered a round of drinks as well. Food was ok but not exceptional by any means.

During this time though the grass was being cut and trees were being cut down with a chainsaw in the beer garden. This went on for some time whilst we were eating. As the guy with the lawnmower approached our table my husband had to ask him to stop otherwise our sons food would have been covered in grass bits.

I asked to speak to a manager, but the girl behind the bar came out to see the problem. I am pretty sure I walked past the owner outside who was chatting to someone. I told the girl that she should get her manager, she came back 2 minutes later saying he had gone to an important meeting. To be fair she did sort everything out and got the guys to stop working. But I think the manager who is also the owner should have come out and sorted it. But having read other reviews it doesn't sound like he cares. I feel sorry for his staff.

“Great Thai dishes”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

We booked this restaurant as one of the few open in Minehead on a Monday and because of its position along the harbour. We shared a raised alcove area with several other couples which gave it an attractive ambience. Although there was a good English menu we had heard of the reputation for Thai food and went for this option. I am not sure whether Thai cooking normally includes venison (!) but the evening's special was delicious and my OH enjoyed his more traditional sweet and sour.
