I try to get to Blue Anchor Bay at least once a year with my wife for some peace and quiet and to be spoilt by Wendy and Ashley who seem to cope with us quite easily,it is to put it mildly the best.
You can reach many places of interest and although we have travelled the area for many years we still find plenty to do and people to meet.
The breakfasts are excellent and cooked by Ashley and the warmth and cleanliness are exceptional and so rare in this world today.
I dont know why I am writing this report as the more visitors Camelot get the less chance I have of getting a booking next time the get away bug gets me.
Cant wait till the next time I visit Camelot. We have only been home a week and I am planning my next years trip already.

We have stayed with Wendy and Ashley on many occasions over the years. The service is fantastic and it is always a pleasure to stay at Camelot House.

All the bedrooms are of an an exceptional standard with excellent bedlinen. The bathrooms are excellent with nice power showers. Camelot House is better than any other B&B in the area (also beats most hotels).

Tea and homemade cakes are served in the lounge, could't stop eating despite having had tea before getting there!

Breakfast is always excellent and our daughter gives the eggs 10 out of 10!

Room Tip: Fantastic place, just wish they were open all year round! One of the best B&B's we have eve...

We stay at this hotel on a regular basis because we love it so much! Wendy and Ashley are the perfect hosts and are genuinely interested in you and your family. We are always greeted with tea and home made cakes on arrival which is a great touch. Over the years I think we have stayed in most of the rooms which are very well appointed and really home from home.
It is a perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and beaches. There are plenty of maps and books to advise you where to go to make the most of your stay in Somerset.
The breakfasts are delicious with plenty of choice and we always look forward to returning.

I stayed here for two nights to attend a local family celebration and was delighted with Ashley and Wendy's hospitality. Room 2 looked out onto the garden and was comfortable and well-appointed; good shower, very comfortable bed, armchairs, tea and coffee etc.
Breakfast room has a view of Minehead bay and was excellent; local produce and lots of choice.
Good off road parking and a short walk from the front and very well located for trips onto Exmoor etc. Would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 2 looked out onto the garden; others have a sea view. All are very quiet.

My wife and I have just returned from 6 days at Camelot House and had a lovely break. The hospitality was first class, nothing was too much trouble, everything was to the highest standard.Wendy and Ashley looked after us and did everything to make us welcome .The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast was also excellent with a lot of choice. The house is only 50 yards from Blue Anchor Bay station and the sea front where parking is free.We would recommend the Camelot without any hesitation and we would like to return one day.

Room Tip: All rooms to very high standard

The reason we rested at the Camelot House B&B for 2 nights was to visit the West Somerset Railway. Camelot House was recommended to my wife by a work colleague as a good place to locate ourselves for our stay. Our expectations we not only met but exceeded by the warmth of the welcome that Wendy and Ashley give you. I stay in a lot of hotels in my working career and prefer to stay in and support local people providing wonderful hospitality and service. This is right up there as one of the best B&B we have stayed in over the years.
Wendy and Ashley ensure your stay is a wonderful experience, with, as they say we provide “Bed & Breakfast” and what a bed and what a breakfast. We stayed in room 2 which overlooked the wonderfully tendered and interesting well stocked garden which then backs on to open fields. Our room was very tastefully decorated and can be seen on the Camelot House website and nothing is left for you to want in your room, Tea & Coffee making facilities, and wonderful toiletries and luxury towels. The shower is fantastic and has great pressure which is very satisfying after a long day out. The best though is the bed we had 2 wonderful nights’ sleep and as we all know sleeping in a different bed to your own can be challenging. Not at all at the Camelot, the “BED” is fantastic and we both woke suitably refreshed to be presented with our own challenge of the Camelot “BREAKFAST” by Chef Ashley. All you can expect with cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt which is just a prequel to the cooked breakfast which is as good as I have tasted anywhere all topped off with lashings of toast and local Miles tea or freshly brewed coffee. Breakfast is served between 0815 and 0900 which is good because everyone takes breakfast in the dining room and there is a super atmosphere and lots of conversation going.
Breakfast is concluded by Wendy giving a local weather forecast to the assembled guests for the area from her iPad which is useful apart from the debate amongst the guests and Wendy which direction the wind was coming from that day i.e. where was north west or south west. I think Carol Kirkwood is safe at the BBC.
We met a couple who were on their 3rd visit to Camelot and told us Wendy and Ashley always pride themselves on providing as good a service as they can possibly give. There were certainly no complaints from my wife and I whatsoever on the contrary nothing was too much trouble
We left after 2 nights stay feeling very refreshed and feeling we have not only found another gem of a B&B but also we would like to feel met some wonderful friendly and professional people in Wendy and Ashley. There is no doubt my wife and I will be back to enjoy the hospitality of Camelot House again.
Oh, by the way the West Somerset Steam Railway is an absolute must of a visit and a wonderful day out and Blue Anchor Station is just 300M form the Camelot B&B. If you are more into walking I am assured this is a good location for exploring the area.
