You can not beat The Parks Guest House for comfort, quality, or super friendly service. I spent four nights while attending an event in Minehead and every facet of my stay was perfectly attended too. From the best breakfast I have had travelling, to the immaculate rooms with flatscreen tvs, and dvds to choose from, I was taken aback that such establishments do indeed exist. I am certain to visit again, and rest easy even now that I will enjoy five star hospitality on my return.

Room Tip: Book early

I believe that I can add very little to what has already been said.
There was nothing to criticise or that fell below our expectations and, in spite of the excellent reviews we had read prior to choosing the Parks, we were pleasantly surprised to find some expectations exceeded.
My considered view is that Bryan and Sarah could take a skip and make it worthy for a comfortable night away from home.
The house is excellent, food excellent, room excell...... you get the idea.
However, I would say that the best asset is that of the owners, who I found to be extremely pleasant, friendly, helpful and absent the normal heirs and graces that often make me uneasy.
I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough and we will not consider any alternative when we are next in the area.

Have just spent another holiday in Minehead and again our stay at The Parks Guest House with Sarah and Bryan was great. The rooms are so welcoming and cosy (not to mention the comfortable bed) and contain every amenity you could possibly wish for. Again, we were made so welcome and the food absolutely first class, as usual. On a couple of wet days we were so glad to have the use of a comfortable lounge containing games, books, DVD's etc. We shall certainly return again soon.

Room Tip: Have stayed in various rooms and all are quiet and peaceful.

We stayed here with a large group of friends in the summer for a friends wedding in Minehead. The owners, Brian and Sarah, were absolutely fantastic - I could not rate them highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble - they went out of there way too help us. We took our baby daughter with us and their care for us and her, as well as our friends, was exceptional.

The B and B is a fantastic location, just a short walk from the beach and high street and the rooms are big, extremely well presented and immaculately cleaned. Prices were reasonable and we could not have been happier.

You won't find better - these guys are simply the best.

Once again Brian and Sarah welcomed us to their lovely home which is so comfortable and relaxing with delicious breakfasts and lots of friendly local advice and chat and a good stock of DVDs to watch in room or books to read.

Room Tip: The selworthy suite is good for disabled access or families with it's own entrance and roomy spa...

Spent a night in the selworthy suite, having decided it would be good to have a separate room for our son. The rooms were comfy & mostly cosy but with the bitterly cold weather a much longer curtain on the doorway would have been lovely (not a complaint merely an observation from having a draughty doorway at home) the second room was the cosiest one & our son slept like a log!. The double bed was comfy & cosy plus quiet as well always a bonus. :)

The car park was okay but on a very narrow road behind the property which fortunately was nice & quiet.

We were greeted very warmly & even got to meet Bryan & Sarah's two Labradors. Bryan was very good with our 8 year old & showed us all we needed to know about the room & the main house as well. Breakfast was good & we were given a warm send off on departure as well with travel advise from Bryan coming in handy as well.

All in all a warm, friendly place to stay when visiting Minehead.

Room Tip: The Selworthy Suite is good if you want a separate room & has it's own entrance as well.

This was our first stay at this guest house, we only stayed one night and wished it had been for longer. We were greeted like old friends, out went the starchy Mr & Mrs that one gets at other hotels and guest houses, we were addressed by our first names, so very welcoming. Everything is clean but we found that the decor is maybe a little dated but that's probably a matter of taste? Nothing was too much trouble. Advice and guidance of where to eat in the town was very good and taking the advice made for a good choice. The postioning of the guest house is good, a gentle 5 minute stroll into town, so suitable for all ages. Breakfast choice was very good and was presented timely (some bigger hotels could learn a lot from this!) and was cooked to perfection. If anyone is looking for somewhere to stay in Minehead, we would recommend it.
