Really love this place and try and to get there regularly for breakfast. The location by the canal is wonderful and the vintage inspired decor, tea cups /pots hanging from the ceiling, roaring fires make it very welcoming. My own personal highlight is the fat white toast, from local bakers that tastes divine. Tea and coffee are good, the service can be a bit flaky as its largely enthusiastic students who may have had a long night. Be gentle. Great place.

Good fresh soups and sandwiches. Excellent selection of Homemade cakes on display. Quirky little tea pots everywhere.
Friendly and efficient service in a tranquil setting by the canal. Good parking outside too.

Set near the canal is this small café with outside seating next to canal.

The service is so easily fixed by asking them to welcome you into the café and then writing down the order to decrease errors and confusion.

Team meeting urgently required !

Food and menu is better than the average café so with tweaks to the service they are onto a winner.

Ps - check out the extra seating and small museum on the first floor.

If you are looking for something unique and different from Costa and Starbucks then this teashop is for you. We had the tea and cakes which is loose leaf tea of your choice (a fair selection) plus 3 slices of their homemade cakes. All of this for £4.95. This is what England should aim for.Unique building and chance of sitting outside by the canal. They can improve the service by taking order at table.

Very sweet building & setting and the inside was nice (perhaps it could do with a little updating).

Service was quick but staff did seem and little stressed. Could have some with some more smiles!

I had a delicious cream tea and my boyfriend had the carrot cake. We couldnt fault them!

Overall we had a really lovely afternoon tea!
